I think wanyonyi will take the gold in the 800m just because he’s a young runner so is more likely to have improved since he ran that 1:41 and in the race against Sedjati it was close and I think he could have beaten him if he didn’t lead from the front and have a crazy first 400m split. Could go either way though but I wouldn’t be surprised if the 800m time is close to the world record and I think there’s a good chance David rudishas record could be broken in the next year.
  • You do not seem to know the 110m hurdlers except the Americans. Jamaica men will sweep the 110m hurdles.

Great analysis...hard to argue with your well reasoned picks BUT I do disagree on a few races. 400 hurdle: I've got "the Viking" winning gold over Dos Sanstos (S), Benjamin (B). 1500: I've got Ingebrejtson winning gold.

did Kejelcha even get picked by Ethiopia?

my gold predictions are: Thomson (9.65), Tebogo (19.38), Holloway (12.77), Hall (43.49), Warholm (45.87), wanyonyi (1:41.98), Ingebritsen, Bakali, Ingebritsen and Kejelcha (Cheptegey wont even podium i think). no times for 1500 meter and up cuz it all depends if its a tactical race or not. i dont have Lyles winning the 200 meter cuz i think the pressure will be to big after not taking the gold in the 100 meter (winning all races between 2 olympics will make the pressure for him to take gold on the 200 meter so huge).
