I've spent most of my life around the greater Seattle area and go into the city several times a year. This is how I remember SPD. Despite everything happening today, this is a good representation of Chief Carmen Best and her officers. Love you guys.

When I first saw this, the comments were disabled. Now I can finally say this: And that, Norfolk PD, is how it's done. Seriously, there's so many little nods to the original song, this was epic. You guys kicked ASS on this, and righted a historic wrong by actually filming it in Seattle! Thanks for all you do!

This was such an excellent production! ❤️ (It’s the only police lip sync challenge video I’ve shared on social media and I am not biased, as I live on the other side of the country). I can only imagine how difficult it was to coordinate everything and everyone involved in this project. At first, everyone had to study Macklemore’s video and memorize the lyrics. Then there was the task of reproducing much of the original scenes. You had to get clearance for the use of Safeco Field, Pike Place, etc., while fitting the filming into the tight date/time allotments they provided. Then you needed to gather hundreds of people together for lip synching, dancing, etc. You even managed to sneak in celebs like King Felix and Lenny (among others) for cameos! I know this production had to be done during the mutual free time of everyone who volunteered to appear. (To the commenters wondering if their “tax dollars” funded this 🙄, ALL of the nationwide police lip sync videos were created, directed, filmed and produced by people donating their off-duty and free time to the projects). This production was certainly no easy task, but the finished product is professional-grade and so engaging! I’ve watched it over and over. 😊 It was well worth all the hard work. In my opinion, Seattle definitely WON the lip sync challenge! Congrats to the SPD, SFD, and the people of Seattle!

Being from Detroit MI area, I've been binge watching these and been sending these to my Father-In-Law who is a retired Police Officer. You guys have really stepped up and I have to say probably one of the best ones so far. Thank you for your service and stay safe out there!
