This video covering Carp Fishing Baits, a Corn vs Prawn Comparison Test was carried out as part of a series of videos on baits for Carp.

I have recently been testing out Prawns as a bait for carp, but this time I wanted to test both corn and prawns together over the course of a day's fishing. You can see in the video that in this Corn vs Prawn test, I caught equal amounts of carp on both baits. The downside to Prawns however, seems to be that Eels like them too.

There is still more experimentation to do, but the results of this test show that Prawns can be a very good alternative to Corn.

    Some eels are electric. I'm interested in the hair rig in Saltwater. Caught a nice Flathead on the feeder years ago. Thanks for the video.

    Caught on both but the difference for me is in a word: Perch. You can catch a bag of fish on smart price corn but you'll never tempt those big perch and the big ones love them. Then again had a 5lb eel last year on a prawn, that made me appreciate modern coated landing nets. Those that know will know.
