Major League Baseball Umpires have been bad for a while now, and one of the biggest reasons why they have been considered bad, is because of them falsely ejecting players. From Bryce Harper to Aaron Judge, these umpires have been throwing out all of the best players in MLB for silly things that should not be considered a problem however, have been with the recent umpiring going on. Lets talk about these umpires and some of the worst ejections in baseball

what's worse is that the league office is threatening suspensions if players and managers don't cool it

You change one letter in the title and suddenly it’s weird

When the A.I. Ump throws out Alex Cora for saying poopy

A couple of weeks ago, Jomboy featured an ejection where the umpire threw someone out. “Who? Who did you throw out?” He had simply pointed at the dugout and tossed someone out. “I don’t know. Someone has to go.” “Who?” He had no idea. These ejections come with fines and sometimes suspensions. Umpires must have a damned good reason or they need to pay the fine. “Looking at me with a smile on his face after I made a questionable call” (aka showing me up) is not a good reason.

that jt ejection in SPRING TRAINING was the worst one i’ve ever seen in my life so absurdly bad. Umpires have just become toxic and want to control the game these days it’s just so annoying because of the point you made people come to watch in person or on tv to watch their favorite players when they get thrown out then the umpires completely take the fun out the game and people start to lose interest. Need to take some notes on hockey refs 🗿

I remember one clip where a hit batter argued with the umpire when the pitcher was ejected. It was quite funny.

Here’s a fix. If an umpire ejects someone they are now contractually obliged to do media time after the game and explain themselves.
  • Umpire get their feelings hurt waaaaaaaay to easy, it’s like they are teenage girls. I officiate football and basketball, have done so for the last 20 years. In that time span, In basketball - I have tossed 2 coaches and 3 players. In football, none for conduct but a few for illegal hits to the head. Yes, it’s two different sports compared to baseball but as an official - setting the tone by making the correct call sets the tone. I actually had a conversation with a former umpire asking me why I didn’t toss a player because he started using colorful metaphors at me, I simply told him I don’t take it personal, he is just upset and warning him before I “T” him up usually helps the situation or telling him I will watch for it next time or admit you missed the call. MLB needs to tell their umpires to stop getting their hurt.

I'm 43 seconds in and you've already made a key incorrect assertion - there are rules governing ejections, and after watching every single ejection this season on close call sports, all but maybe 2 were the result of one of these rules being violated, with the other two being ejections that were because the umpire thought the player or manager violated a rule and didn't bother checking to see if it was in fact that player or manager.

99% of ejections are fully deserved. Mostly because Players and managers are utterly ignorant of the rules. In reality MLB have a out of control players/Mangers problem. As an example Torey Lovullo got ejected yesterday arguing a pitch that was literally Middle Middle. The ammount of players that lose their minds over a pitch either correct or within a half inch of being correct is insane. That said I agree that the 1% of bad Ejections should have reprecussions.
  • Umpires are the main reason we, the fans, pay all that money just to see the star players get thrown out of the game.
  • @SirWulfrick
We're fast approaching the extinction of umpires because they've managed to go from "humanly-flawed" to "complete crap but we're untouchable gods."
  • @mr_sm0k3y60
The stupidest ejection that I have heard about is thatan umpire makes an ejection motion but doesn't know who he ejected. After they realized no one should be ejected they stated that someone "needs" to be ejected from the game and told the manager just to choose someone in the dugout to be ejected.
  • @CiscoJedi
Allow the 2 managers to get together and eject an umpire! That will make the umps think twice about ejecting players and making bad (Hernandez-like) calls as well.
  • @rachelnew9131
the umpire that ejected the player for moving the on deck circle needs to grow a since of hummer
  • @USAbaseball99
The umpires are so soft people are getting ejected for saying nothing we want to see are favorite players play
  • @alonzobean1
What I would love to see is if an unjust ejection happened, every player on that team said something to umpire to get ejected. Leaving no one to play.
  • @city6291
Theres no professional sports league in the world that allows referees to just eject anybody for any reason.
  • @coryboedeker6300
Im just waiting for a team to just pack up their gear and leave mid game.
  • @26ColinBarth26
I'm an umpire and i have coaches get mad at me all the time, i dont eject them because I'm not very sensitive unlike mlb umpires, still waiting for that first ejection😅 BTW great video, i agree with everything you said
