Skyrim VR is the reason I wanted to get a VR headset. I've wanted to be in the world of Skyrim since 2012, but when I first got to play the VR port i was underwhelmed. The game was basically just Special Edition on a screen attached to your face. But, that means that SE mods are compatible with VR. And now, we can truly make Skyrim VR the best VR game I've ever played. How can we do this you ask? Well, that's what we're exploring in today's top ten list of the Top 10 Best Skyrim VR Mods To Bring It Into 2022. Let's do it right now on Top 10 Gaming!

I know I'm a little late to the party here but I just remodded and started Skyrim VR again. This time, with Higgs, Planck, and Vrik, I no longer have to leave Whiterun to achieve endgame bliss. Anytime I hear about the cloud district, Nazeen gets a big open handed slap. He has become the Chris Rock to my Will Smith, the Charlie Murphy to my Rick James. Nazeen just shuts up, gets sad, and walks away. Even the guards you do it in front of just look away as if they know he had it coming!
  • Awesome video. I just got Skyrim VR and I'm compiling a list of mods while I wait for a new graphics card to handle them. This game is the reason I got VR.

Hey man, I've only ever gotten about 2 hours into Skyrim every time I've played it, but your passion for the game makes me want to give it another shot with these mods. It's so nice to see someone genuinely so passionate about something.
  • Thanks for the suggested mods! I just got my first headset (Valve Index). I heard a ton of good things about Skyrim, but that Mods is the way to play this game and enjoy it to it's fullest, so here I am... literally 3 hours later and endless tutorials... I have Vortex installed and have been snatching mods left and right. I've been looking for a game to get lost in for a while but none could really quite keep my attention. Let's see how it goes ;).
  • for skyrim vr you need vrik, higgs, and planck, they make the game work like a actul vr game for the most part

Skyrim Modder here but just got an HP G2 and going to start in on Skyrim VR, so Im interested to see whats different between modding the regular version vs VR, thanks!

Hey, thanks for the video! Do you happen to know if there are any specific combat mods for Skyrim VR? VRIK, HIGGS and PLANCK are not focused on combat and did tons to the combat feel. Though, even with those installed, you still don't get to physically block incoming attacks, is that right? Also, it seems like all weapons are weightless, meaning you can move them pretty fast even though it's a pretty big weapon and supposedly pretty heavy too. I only watched videos, so I could be wrong. Also, do you think some of the combat overhauls mods of the Non-VR version might be compatible with the VR version? I know that the features that involve any player character animation is a big no, but what about mechanics like timed blocks, weapon specific moveset animation for the enemies, poise/balance and the execution mechanic, dashes/dodges/rolls?

I like to download the mod packs that other people make preset, but there’s always a few mods that make it crash and it’s almost impossible to find out which one it is unless you launch the mod 1 mod at a time

Am I able to transfer my mods through vortex between SE and VR? or do I need to download them again to the VR mod list?
  • @FhargaZ
I used FUS and it was pretty good, a little too much for my GPU 😣, but it is soo way better than vainilla .I need to keep playing with settings.
