38 years into a now love-less marriage, staying together in the same house but totally divorced emotionally from my wife, I still believe in a world of love. My feelings aren't too important now, but 2 beautiful children and a new grandson give me some satisfaction that it was all worth it. Hold on to it, keep it alive.

I grew up in the late 50s and early 60s, and I agree with you that this song is a classic and is perfect. There is talent in every generation, and although I am partial to the 60s and early 70s, I recognize and respect talent in any era or genre of music.
