Just want to point out that while Carnival is and can be seen as very provocative, it’s more than the alcohol and the wining. It’s about us as a melting pot of people celebrating life, and unity and culture in the best way we know how. It’s about celebrating the redemption of our ancestors. It’s about being happy and enjoying the moment with close friends and even strangers with an emphasis on the fact that we’re all equal on the road. For both women and men it’s a time to be body positive and inclusive. Carnival doesn’t have an age, a race, a background or a political agenda. It’s the greatest show on earth! Remember #LillySingh that #TrinidadCarnival has a lot of other elements (not just drinking and wining (which we love of course), like the celebration of our culture, history, ancestors and more. . . The display of the creativity by our artists, artisans, entertainers and not forgetting the traditional elements of our "ole time" characters. It's a celebration of all that we are.
