Laughing at all the people here who say that Larry Bird was overrated and wouldn't survive in today's NBA. Larry Bird was a straight up savage and believe me if he took court in this day and age players would be going home crying. And for the people who think that the NBA is more athletic and more skilled today well you are partially right they may be more athletic but just watch a Celtics or Lakers game from the 80's or even some Dr. J highlights and you will realize what footwork actually is.
  • Larry Bird just had to make the game easier for the opponent...and still dropped 47.

larry bird is amazing. he is not overrated. people who say that don t know nothing about basketball. he played like anyone in basketball history. the word who describes bird: unique.

Why this question, have you not seen your video ? He dunks with the right habd like one minute in
  • If any of you doubters saw Duncan or Dirk using the exact same moves they do now in the 80's instead, you'd be saying they wouldn't survive in today's NBA. Duncan's style (after the lateral meniscus tear) and Dirk's style (after he stopped playing athletically) are full proof that Larry Bird would still destroy in today's NBA.

Let's see how NBA fans relate this video to LeBron & Steph

I counted 20 points using his left hand. If you actually know the entire story (I do), which is cut off in the video, Larry never said shoot the entire game left handed. He told the team he would use his left hand the entire game left handed down low, and in the post to challenge himself. There is a video somewhere of Ainge saying this. It was still amazing. I actually watched this game live, and couldn't figure out what he was doing because it looked so bizarre live.. 🤣

Best player I ever seen, like Tommy Heinson said "Bird was playing chess, everyone else was playing checkers"

One of the best players ever to play the game. I'm so happy I grew up while he was playing. It was a privilege to see Bird play.

Don't let this distract you from the fact that the most used pencil in the world is a #2. Stay W👁KE!

Larry Legend. Arguably the best small forward all time for good reason 💯
  • @kaili919
Well he didn't. People said that he used his left hand for all the shots and I believed it, but apparently not. He still used his right hand for jumpshots. But he used left hand for layups, floaters, and sky hooks, which is still incredibly astonishing to me.

Rename the video to "Larry Bird shoots every layup/floater left handed"

Best all around player ever! He made everyone better around him and Jordan was very happy when he retired.
