STORY TIME! Co-Director here.  This is how it really went down for anyone curious: Tim: I want to shoot a video next week. Me: great. Tim: We're open to doing anything, but want it to be both loved and totally hated" Me: okay here are [10 absurd ideas] Tim: I like all of those. Can we do [insert 5 more absurd ideas] too? Me: Yep. But will the label will be okay with this? Tim: Ya. Don't even worry. Me: But like, for real tho, we can do this?... Tim: Yep. Oh, also you'll unfortunately only have 1 week to edit cuz we have to launch it with the tour! Me: Fuck. Ok. Fuck. *shoot goes great. band is hilarious. some of the improv they did was so funny they had the entire crew crying. *post prod vfx was most terrible thing ever. 3 people working 17 hrs a day for a week straight. fun fact my dog almost destroyed a 20 hour VFX render by unplugging a power cord. We had 6 minutes worth of jokes, gags, shots etc. that we couldn't fit in. So much funny stuff that will be hidden forever. *10/10 would 420 no scope blaze it again.
