Having Vik being the only one that sticks with V after 2 years, makes the 20k debt you owe him worth doing

dude if my friend was gone for 2+ years and came back only to tell me they have been in a coma for the past 2 years i would do my damndest to find where they are to see if its real at first and catch up afterwards

In this ending it feels like you never truly mattered to them

Somewhat makes me wonder if V ever really had a friend in anyone outside of vik, misty, and Jackie

at least Dex warned us right at the beginning "You either live in peace as Mr. Nobody, die ripe, old smelling slightly of urine, or go down for all times in a blaze of glory, smelling near like posies, without seeing your thirtieth"

Viktor is the real G he is ready to help you after you ghosted him for 2 years, without hesitation

Man with this ending...this is how a villain arc starts.

Giving body to johhny - (Panam) "Believe me when i say I'm going to find you ... wherever you're hiding ... And when i do I'm gonna rip V out of your head." 2 years after being in coma - (Panam) no answer W H A T ... THE ... F U C K ... WHO WROTE THAT ENDING?

Damn the only person that stuck with V is Doc Viktor

DUDE this is like the most DEPRESSING ending they could come up with. LMAO

The worst part of this ending by far, unfortunately. The fact that we weren't allowed to text or phone Panam (or whoever you romanced) and basically go "Hey, I'm heading off to an undisclosed location for experimental treatment. I wish I could tell you more, but I might be gone a while. Please don't forget me." This is a glaring omission and surprisingly bad writing for a story of this caliber. The way it's written now, it makes certain characters' reactions way too strong. We're also talking about 2 fucking years. Not 5. Not 10. Two years. A lot can change, but it's also not an unfathomable, unrecoverable amount of time. Think about the difference between October 2021 and October 2023. It's a long time. But not THAT long. For someone in V's predicament, yeah, I just don't buy that most of their friends would abandon or be mad at them for something that was outside of their fucking control (a medically-induced coma). That aside, I think this ending is wonderfully bittersweet, and the conversation you have with Johnny in the airlift on the way to surgery is one of the most touching and heart-breaking scenes in the entire game. So I'm still happy we got it. Just wish some of the misery & bitterness wasn't so forced and rushed.

As someone who hasn't spoken to his "friends" 5 years after graduation,i can relate to V But v is lucky to have some loyal ones like misty and viktor

As soemone who romanced Panam, my heart hurts.

So, V doesn't deserve any support from his "friends" after a 2-year coma. I can't relate their reaction in this ending with that snivel sorrow when V dies or commits a suicide. Ironically that only Misty and Vik, who never asked V for any help, are happy to see us alive and give a little of support.

It's so heartbreaking after romancing Judy, V going into a coma and then coming out to realise her girlfriend has moved on and she's alone is so heartbreaking to play through, especially after getting punched down the stairs, you truly feel hopeless

Honestly V called Kerry at the worst possible moment. He's clearly overwhelmed by the situation and shouts at everyone to keep the conversation going as long as possible. Judy too is pretty supporting (if you aren't a dong about it like video poster). Besides she lives on the other coast now and has a family. Can't just jump on a train for a cross country trip you know.
