Material
200g sugar, 100g water, paper cup, 8-10 strawberries, 3-4 tangerines, skewers


Create
1.Be Careful to Peel tangerines so that they don't get hurt in the inner shell.
2.Prepare the straberries, move the stalkes, and put the skwer in.
3. 1 cup full of sugar + 3cm cup = 200g
4. 4.8 cm water = 100 g
5. Put the patients in a pot and bowl over medium heat.
6.Low the syrup to low heat when it starts to blow thick.
If the siren starts to clear and pay gold, turn on the fire.
8.Check if sip has been dropped in cold water to harden it.
9.Coat syrup quickly without opening the fruit.

    Thank you so much it worked out for me! Here’s a few tips: •When your putting your fruit in the pot or pan to coat it in sugar make sure that your stove is still on because if it isn’t then the sugar coating will harden really fast •Also make sure to put sugar in your pot or pan first and then put water •I prefer to freeze it after I put the sugar coating so it’s more crunchy and yummy! •Heat your pot or pan before you add the sugar and water That’s all!     This brings back memories of my childhood growing up in Beijing, it was common snack. It was also in our Chinese text book, I remember the story called WanNianLao. So not only doesn it brings back memories of the food, it brings back memories of school and how me and my friends would buy snacks like this after school from street vendors.

    i remember always craving for this whenever we used to go out in China, and ask (more like plead) my parents to buy me a strawberry tanghulu, cause people sell them all the time on the streets. It's good to know that it is so simple to make, and it doesn't require a lot of ingredients, or advanced cooking skills, so I can make it at home myself when I want to eat it.

    탕후루는 먹어본 적 없어서 시럽이라길래 끈적한 것만 생각했는데 사탕같은 느낌이었네요 서담님이 만드신 거는 생긴 거도 예쁘고 맛있어보여요! 나중에 시간되면 저도 꼭 만들어보고싶어요

  • A few notes on this through trial and error: Make sure the sugar gets hot enough. Somewhere between 250-300 F or it won't solidify well. Also, if you're clumsy like me, be careful because if any of the sugar accidentally touches your hand/drips on you, you will get pretty bad burns (3rd degree is very plausible here--yes that's personal experience). It tastes good and is satisfying to make though so, worth a shot if you're interested.
