  • Seeing people react to hearing the solo for the first time is priceless.
  • The first time you said "he's killing that guitar solo" I thought to myself "but wait! There's more!"
  • When I went to a Skynyrd concert, this song was the finale it played out for 30+ minutes... It was the most amazing beautiful ending but, Led Zepplin'S stairway to heaven live knocked me back!! The crowds energy was powerful.
  • @bgumm9122
This was three guitar solos at one time!!
  • They all think it is such a lovely, melodic piece and then it hits them!
  • I have a free bird tattoo on my thigh. I’m 70 yrs old! Lololol
  • "And this bird you can not change Lord knows, I can't change"
  • It's too fun to watch peoples' first reaction to this and they are always blown away by that guitar. What I would give to have given to be in that studio session to watch them create this great piece of rock-n-roll history that day. And, yes, the drums are awesome too. Check out their "Sweet Home Alabama" - it's another great one that is still played on radio stations today. Great reaction!
  • This was my twin brothers favorite song ,I played it at his funeral. Hes gone 20 years on July 9th . Thank you for making me smile today Jayvee_tv 😊
  • The 70’s were the most fun. No decade since has ever had that much freedom to just be wild and happy. I’m so glad I was there for all of the 60’s and 70s!
  • @kattcity
Love seeing Freebird virgins listening to this for the 1st time. Do yourself a favor and dig into their deep catalog of varied music. I recommend T for Texas live from convention hall....you can watch all 3 Guitarist do individual solos. You will like it ...trust me.
  • No one is ever ready, LOL! Whether you react to it or not you have to watch the live version from 1976 at Knebworth. The guitar solo is out of this world!! Ronnie Van Zant, the lead singer, roamed around the drummer and they played until he saw the drummer flag a little. Also, please react to Lynyrd Skynyrd Simple Man and choose the version with lyrics. Amazing song. The band's charter plane crashed in 1977 and the lead singer and bass player were killed and all the others were critically injured. The lead guitarist Allen Collins didn't play again for 10 years as he almost lost his arm. Very sad.

Thank you so much for listening to it. Really glad you enjoyed it. Personal favourite song. Nobody is ever ready for it when they first listen. You nailed it quickly with the appreciation of the instrumentals.
  • Skynyrd also did the classic song called Sweet Home Alabama. They were a southern band and are still played on terrestrial radio today on southern rock stations. Just think, this stuff came out in the 70's and still holds up today. That's because it's real music! Not the wannabe stuff we hear today! You may also want to check out the Allman Brothers Band/Ramblin Man. They were also southern rock.
  • Southern Rock at it’s finest. No one is ever ready for it
  • @wild8757
It’s always great to watch people think the whole song is gonna be a slow song, then the tempo picks up, their eyes light up and a hurricane comes through, got a love it
  • Great reaction!..you did great - I knew what was coming and I still get blown away even when I first heard it when it came out - 👍
  • So much fun to see these great songs through fresh eyes.
