Here is a simple technique on how to make an antique art with oxidized effect. I have made it as simple as possible with clear steps. This technique with slight variations can be used to create variety of effects. In future, I will also show how this magnificent technique can be used on other surfaces. But for, now, I am using it on a plain, primed canvas, by creating a tree with the help of our friend, the glue gun. At the end, the painting looks more like a fossilized tree. I guess, this technique gives unique nature to different paintings/creations. I hope you guys enjoy the video. Please share your thoughts, in the comment section down below. Let me know what I should make next or, on what, I should use this technique. Don't forget to like, share and subscribe...

Have a great day ahead! :) :)

I was going to simply write, this is beautiful. Until you asked at the end for us to share our thoughts and comments. So I will. This touched me in a way that’s hard to describe. Tonight I spent what I strongly feel will be my last Christmas Eve with my Mom and Dad. I’ve cared for them the past year and I’ve watched them grow old. And Gnarly. But this painting made me think of my Dad and his hands. How, one time they were young and picked me up and dusted me off. How they worked hard to provide for my Mom, my sister and I. How they started to age and still were strong. And now how they shake. How they are clean when once they only became clean after a week of vacation. He was a mechanic. But now he’s a shaky, thin man. He’s bent, but will always seem strong in my eyes and heart. I needed this I think tonight as I believe soon he’ll be moving on to a better place. It just hit me so very strongly tonight that I’ll have to learn to live without him for a while. And I’m grieving, although I can still at this moment touch his hands and hold him close. But thank you, for this beautiful painting. It looks strong, but we don’t know how long it will be with us. And it makes me grieve.
  • This is stunning. All my life I have battled with demons, depression and abuse. I was watching every stroke, every spot of paint and all I could think about were the amount of storms this tree (all trees for that matter) had faced, they’ve been battered and bruised by winds, rain and some are knocked down but as I look carefully and think about it, I’m like a tree. I’ve endured many storms in my lifetime but here I am, I’m wearing scars but like this tree, after everything, I’m still here, standing strong and more beautiful than ever. Thank You so much for sharing and for lifting me up today. 🙏🏻🙌🏻🙏🏻
  • 2.2k people need to get a life. This is gorgeous, incredibly creative and it was very generous of you to share your technique and art with us.

This was truly beautiful. Thank you. I remember my Mum doing this back in the 80's but instead of the glue she glued down different textures of string and fine rope to make the tree. Once dried she glued down aluminum foil over all of it, pressing it in to all the creases and nooks and crannies. Once that was dried she used boot polish to stain all the aluminum. It turned out so well. I was surprised at the results because my Mum was not really an artsie person. ♥
  • The first time I watched this .. I fell asleep .. NOT for any other reason than the music just totally relaxed me and away I went ! So .. a couple of days later when my Therapist came to do my Reflexology .. I played this again. I had the screen minimised so there wasn't a picture .. just the music. She asked me what it was .. so I showed her. We ended up watching the video all through ... and she LOVED this so much. So .. the day after what did I do? Yep .. I got all my craft stuff out .. ran out (well .. hobbled more than ran haha ) and bought any bits I didn't have .. and I made her one. She was absolutely over the moon. Thank you .. for the video .. the inspiration .. the music ... and for giving me reason to get off my backside and get back into crafting. I have MS .. and am in remission from Cancer at the moment .. so it felt absolutely wonderful to just forget everything for a while ... and create ! Thank You :)

I stopped painting a couple years ago cause I just couldn't find any peace in it anymore. Recently started back drawing with colored pencil, but I have not been excited about any art.... Till this!! Thank you for exciting me about art again... Got all kinds of ideas now. Again, thank you. (68 YO man)
  • I've watched this several times now. The feelings it evokes in me—and obviously many others here—are powerful. I felt like this is what art is supposed to do. Art is meant to stir emotions and thought. The more powerful the feelings, the more powerful the art. I just want to thank you again for sharing this—and all your artwork—with us. You inspired me to try this myself... using a crappy little glue gun and some watercolor paper. Even with inferior tools, I still made something that made me smile... and want to create more things. Thank you.
  • It's been a very long time since creating any type of art touched my soul. This did profoundly. So many different thoughts and feelings - tears and smiles. Thank you.

Beautiful! I'm glad this moved up again in the Youtube previews and I found it. I echo the comment, "How could anyone give this a thumbs down?" They must be crazy.

I’m going to teach this to my 9 y/o granddaughter. She is a very good artist and I want to encourage her to be more creative. Thanks for the video.
  • Stunning! I love them both - esp. the second one with the more simple colors and just a touch of red. I'm elderly and can no longer do the fine painting I did on my crafts and was looking for something to do and share with my grandkids. This is perfect!!! Thank you so much for sharing your technique and beautiful results!!!
  • Just recently started painting and I somehow stumbled across this video. Absolutely amazing! I was totally mesmerized and relaxed watching this. Can't wait to try it this week, thank you!
  • This continues to be my most watched and enjoyed video on all of YouTube!!! Thanks so much for bringing the artist out in many of us!!!💜❤💜❤
  • Absolutley gorgeous! I'm in awe of your artistic abilities and this process. I don't believe I've ever watched an artist show such clear instructions before. Plus your complete list of everything that is needed is great. Thank you
  • I do 3D paper sculpture and not very well I might add. I was going to clean up my room and sell everything. But after watching your video it has given me courage to continue working on my craft. Others may not care for my work (family) but I do. You have given me back my courage. Thank you! Oh I will try making a tree of my own as well.
  • As I watched you create this hauntingly beautiful tree, tears streamed down my face. Although im not entirely sure why and im still sorting all the emotions I was feeling, but I wanted you to know that you inspired me and touch my soul in way that is a bit foreign but wonderful none the less. I aspire to touch someone with such emotion when they look at something I create. Thank you for renewing the fire to continue, as I had lost my inspiration, put down my paints and felt the loss of my creative outlet in all areas of my life. Thank you seems inadequate. May you always continue to inspire and touch others with your beautiful creations!
  • Beautiful !!! Just like another comment I also had some nostalgic feelings watching it . I love to paint and take pictures of trees and birds . Love your piece of art .
