I am at a shelter in Galveston. In Houston, the shelters are providing cots and food . Here in Galveston, we are forgotten. Only tourist matter . This city is so corrupt. Elderly disabled sleeping on the floor . Using plastic as covers It is so horrible to see. They denied a blind man with 1 leg entrance bc he is in diapers. He had a caregiver ! I want to email the ADA . Discrimination of a disabled person is against the law!! I emailed the mayor Who knows if he'll get it

If only there was some sort of power source fueled by something high in the heavens. 🤔

This to be expected since Texas electric supply companies are notorious for not having up-to-date electrical grids and having no back up plans. I lived there for years. So glad I donot any longer.

We got our power on the day before yesterday. We had to throw out 3 garbage bags of food

And they talked mess about California. Wow. This just goes to show you that if California can go through it, every other state can too. I can only hope everyone learns from this and shows more compassion instead of kicking people when they’re down or from other states. I hope everyone will be ok and pull through. Wish nothing but the best for all my fellow Americans!

Power outages not good for EV cars. Where to charge battery, long waiting time for charger.

I live by the airport in Humble,Texas...we have no power..
  • @marzkedon
This is what happens when you get chincy with your electric grid.

Look up how much money the CEO of Centerpoint Energy makes. I did and he makes seven million a year. Report on that because people are dying in Houston. I don't live there but I know what is going on
  • Patrick saying it's unexceptable, he's part of the problem. Greedy, and the administration refuses to actually fix the grid.
  • @hello_its_me.
Flooding damage, wind damage, raging heat, failing power grid, power restoration delay and delay and delay. What's not to love about Houston?

Look at the mess the power lines are in! I can see it taking along time to repair.
