Mark is a truly gifted and prolific artist. I met him way back in 1993 on “Wyatt Earp” at KNB FX Group. Mark has an artist energy that does not stop. In the shop he could go from sculpting to molding to painting and even have time to do a caricature or two... or ten on his table top. That is how I remember working with Mark. Always a Sharpie marker at the ready. And always in good natured fun... mostly 😁 He’s worked on some fantastic films like “Bill and Teds Bogus Journey “, “The Sandlot”, “From Dusk Till Dawn”, “Evolution”, “The Cell”, “Frankenstein and Me”! and stunts???... On “Murder by Numbers”. Wish I had asked him about that one. But these days Mark is most notable for his incredible paintings. Mark has created a uniquely sarcastic but beautiful style. He doesn’t create caricatures, he creates characters. There’s a big difference. And you can see it in his work. His art work focuses mainly on his interest in film and television of days gone by. People like Barney Fife, Michael Myers, Spock, Kirk, Dr Smith, Hawkeye, and films like The Thing, Halloween, The Big Lebowski, The Shinning, Young Frankenstein... I could go on forever. He is always creating for gallery shows as well. His latest work, which he showed on Mini Monsterpalooza, is for the Surgarmynt Gallery show entitled HAUNTED HADDONFIELD. This is a tribute art show to the film Halloween. Mark has created four amazing pieces entitled “Haddonfield Manor Stretching Portraits”.
