  • The best way to lose a good friend, invite him or her into your band. As always great show.
  • Had a co-worker jam group that came up with just talking about music with them. I was amazed at how many musicians I work with.
  • This channel is a breath of fresh air and humor Whenever there is bad news going on, you always pick interesting topics. Thank you

I just want to avoid being in another "Tired Old Dads Blooze Band" playing a worn out version of Mustang Sally.

As an older guitar player, I found it more difficult to find new players to jam with.
  • Every city I’ve traveled to, for work or pleasure, I sought out the local music stores and walked in and made friends. That’s how I met you guys! But those are the seeds to a network of playing possibilities! Great topic and video! Thanks

My little brother is 13 years younger than me, he started learning guitar seriously last year and I’ve been teaching him stuff everyday. He has a background in percussion so we’ve been jamming for years, but he really wants to start a band now, and he’s getting better everyday. He’s into good music: Deftones, the Strokes, Interpol, 311, Turnstile. We’ve been trying to brainstorm what our band/sound is going to be, each of us writes songs but our styles are unique to us. When he was a baby/little kid I had a band a band with my high school friends, we played shows and wrote songs, had a blast doing it. We were called The Herminators, terrible band name I know but what ya gonna do? It was 2002! I tell him all the time about how cool and fun it was to have that camaraderie with my band mates/friends. It wasn’t all great but man those were some awesome times. I wish I could do that again. Great episode and great advice, and the version of Britney that Baxter has on his shirt is the hottest version.

I've given away my cheaper guitars to friends during the pandemic to thin the herd, but also because I wanted to simply teach people so I could have people to play with.

Y’all are the first thing I look for in the morning. Always have a good laugh. Keep up the good work!

I am very determined to start a Rock band and i know there are so many places to look for recruits, and I'd really like to find people as determined as i am and easy to work with that are trying to get noticed by the world...who's dream are also to go from small venues to the big stage, im looking for people with that sort of determination to navigate with on this journey to being noticed and seen. For the love of creating and doing what they love doing who feel the same about it as i do.
  • Meetup is a great way to meet local musicians. I went to a Beatles musician meetup where we all played music from the Fab Four. There are other get Togethers as well, you just have to find your niche. Excellent video as always guys, rock on 🤘

The best way to improve your playing is by playing with others. As a side note Baxter you are friggen hilarious 😂

Make your friends play! My best friend 45 years ago made me play, and I've been forever grateful.

I once went to a contra dance and met some musicians there. After the dance, a bunch of us went to one of their houses and had an incredible jam session.
  • Why does Baxters hair always look like his equipment isn't properly grounded before plugging in?
