I love how when Billie started smashing his guitar, mike was like “oh, we’re doing this, okay. I’m a ride or die” and started smashing his bass too

Basically Nina Simone had "This is America" before Donald Glover
  • I feel so bad for Selena, she had her whole life robbed, her whole career, her whole future. People who take other people's lives into their own hands deserve the pits of hell.

Mariah had to hit that whistle note because she knew Patti was going to eat her up if she didn’t lol. Love them both though

Nina Simone exposing America is the most significant one in my opinion

Opera singers are really really something else. Respect.
  • Lemme just say that Billie Joe had the right to react the way he did. They gave him 45 minutes then cut it in half so Usher could have more time. They practiced for a 45 minute show for days then got told at the last minute that it'd be cut in half.

Nina Simone is one of the music artists that was brave enough to speak for the civil rights of the African American community. Even the band is shook about the Mississippi Goddamn song God Bless Miss Simone👏🏼
  • Nina Simone has never gotten the credit she deserves she was not just a blues sing she was a prophet a story teller and a warning of what's to come to those who would listen she deserves so much more then she was given js

you have such an expanded taste in music like it goes from opera or whatever to billy joe armstrong cussing someone out at a punk rock concert.

I absolutely love Janelle Monae. I feel she's so underrated. Her vocals and her control are impeccably awesome.

"You don't have to live next to me, just give me my equality" Words of wisdom the world needs to hear.

4:50 I have never heard SoHyang before. But when I tell you her voice *grabbed my soul*, that her signing conjured the passion and power of the ocean, that I felt a sort of nostalgia from things I must’ve only experienced in Heaven before birth. I pray you believe me.
