How different this is to the album version. Listening to the concert recordings it’s evident that the group were continually evolving and expanding their music as a live band through their oerfomances. We are so lucky to have this legacy to enjoy today.

Mark has an unmistakable touch that makes you dream; his lyrics are refined and sophisticated, often steeped in mystery and full of ancient memories. Mark is the king of rock at once elegant and powerful, and the whole band blends into a superlative architecture. Dire Straits is so unique that it is beyond any comparison. They are just Dire Straits.
