This car is far too good to part out. It deserves another chance at life on the road.
  • @Toyota--Camry
That 944 is worthy of more than just being a parts car imo. Also, I absolutely adore the gold here!
  • @alancamilleri
That 944 seems all original so if that’s the case please don’t ruin it by removing parts off of it. That’s a piece of history so appreciate it ❤❤❤
  • @henryharold5272
This appears to be a rare factory delivered car in excellent condition and worth keeping together and restoring. Notice it has power steering which is extremely rare on an 1983 944. The engine is a 2.5 liter 4 cylinder making approximately 150hp.
  • @swdspd
Great vid, that 944 is worth saving for the right person. Honestly, use some very strong penetrating oil on the seat rails, soak, and wait. It will eventually break up the rust and move freely. Keep up the great work guys!
  • @markirizarry4851
That Gold looks so awesome on that car! Please leave the 944 intact. I would love to see that on the road!
  • This car has been somebodys dream car but was left abandoned. It deserves another chance on the roads
  • @michaelsteyn5325
The gold is unique. Although I've not seen your 944, maybe it should be a donor for this one. This has so much potential and you guys did fantastic on the detail. She's mint after 15 years of neglect.
  • @Chunky246
Just needs a bit of restoring, don't rip the engine out. Keep the engine number and chassis the same. I hate it when cars are rescued.... then ripped apart. It's not a brown interior... its chocolate :)
  • @tmajcan94
This is my favorite car from Porsche. The 911 is awesome but the 944's are my favorite. I really like the gold color here and the body is in really good condition. Great video and and awesome find! Fantastic job as always guys!
  • @htahana3461
This 944 deserves to be saved, the colour was very popular in the 80s porsche's.My old 928s was the same colour it was beautiful. Great video guys amazing to this car shine again.
  • @notyourturkey
Ahhh, the resilience of Porsche. Every detail, still almost flawless. I don't care what color it is, the details were not sacrificed and that's where the beauty lies. 😅
  • @Ramsey_Pahl
It’s honestly amazing that you guys are able to do this, and bring life to a once junker car.
  • @law_mcc
Please don’t tear it apart! It’s too clean of a car especially after such a good detail
  • @kissmisskittie
Definitely, restore it! The Porsche in gold color is so nice, and the interior is just really cool. Bring it back to life. It’s like seeing a classic we don’t get to see anymore. Just like it, a travel back in time. Also, the gold color in my opinion matches the overall Porsche color wheel. 😌 love it!
  • @robertiddon
+1 for restore, love the gold, brown interior 😍 soak the seat rails in PlusGas and leave for a week, they should free up eventually 🤞
  • @FloridaClay
Cleaned up much nicer than epected. Restoration candidate to me.
  • You can check compression by connecting a battery and then jumping 12 volts to the starter solenoid. The starter will still turn the motor over, it just won’t start. Make sure you’re taking the compression readings with the throttle body fully open. Before cranking it with the starter, I’d pull all the spark plugs and put a capfull of oil in each cylinder and hand spin the motor a few times. That will help bring the rings around and make sure it’s not being cranked dry. Lastly you’re supposed to check compression hot. When you check it cold your numbers will all be a little low, but you’re mostly looking to see they’re all consistent… on a tired old motor that hasn’t ran in years I’d say within 20% of each other is fine. For a 944 I think you’ll want between 110-135 cold. Target would be 150 on a hot motor.
