I always thought Volo traveled from the past, as he knows a lot about lore and his clothes look ancient. If this is true, both Cogita and Cynthia would be his descendants.

All these 10 year olds running around with time gods and space breaking Pokémon, it’s no wonder the borders of reality are falling apart.

My theory about Volo is that he was originally from a time more close to Cogita's early life and he stayed in the distortion world so long because people don't age in there

My guess is willing travel is more controlled and doesn't strain the traveler's mind and body since Nebby opens and maintains the portal The memory loss fallers likely had to travel from freak accident portals which probably put stress on them mentally

Imagine Anabel lost some of her Pokemon while falling thru the wormhole and they ended up in a universe that didn’t have Pokemon. 😭

Anabel being a Faller implies you can travel between universes this way, as she uses some of her Emerald Pokemon and also her Emerald theme when you battle her, so she is not the Anabel of the Mega timeline, she's the Anabel of the Emerald timeline, Zinnia alludes to the different timelines, one with the Ultimate Weapon and Mega Evolution, and one without. Going off of this, Faller Looker likely is not XY/SM Looker, but rather Platinum/Gen 5 Looker. Which means the Mega verse has two Anabels and two Lookers, but SM Looker is not a Faller apparently, so he is not ORAS Looker. Faller Looker is probably kept in protective custody and Faller Anabel probably operates in complete secrecy so that the Anabel that runs the Battle Tower doesn't find out she has a clone lol

The Ultra Recon squad say that there is a proper way to travel through an Ultra Wormhole and that Fallers who lost their memory could have done it wrong, whatever that means.

Actually in pokemon master's they show that Rei and akari and Lucas and down are different people.

As for annabel, keep in mind emerald/oras take place concurrently with Firered/leafgreen, while gen 7 takes place almost 20 years later according to porygon's pokedex (porygon was made 20 years ago and porygon was still a fairly new pokemon in gen 1, hence why no trainers have one in game). So if annabel was, say, 15 when she fell, then she'd be in her early-mid 30s in sun/moon. So the ages check out for her.

Also to note that Rira would say "boku" when talking about herself, but not in Generation 7. Her Emerald clothes still suit her as a female character.

If we get another faller, i hope it's Platinums frontier brain Dahlia or Darach, Dahlia was a fun character and Darach being a faller would explain his disappearance from Caitlin's side in BW, plus he would fit in Kalos, being a butler

Gonna be honest, i more think looker went through a hoopa ring and got dropped into the ocean. I mean think about it, hitting the water at the right amount of speed can rattle the brain and probably knock out some memories as well as consciousness.. maybe got saved by some nice lanturnes or wailmers.
