The "gravitational field" was a wonderful analogy; we need to somehow continue the analogy using F=m1*m2/d**2 (for those of you who remember your elementary physics).
-
Excellent video. And your explanation of exactly why interval training can be beneficial for a person with advanced ear-training skills (but detrimental for a person with only beginner or intermediate skills) is crystal clear.

Thank you so much!!!!!ā¤ā¤ā¤ā¤ā¤ā¤ much appreciation for your wonderful contents!!!š

Your method is really great, i think you should write a book covering this method so that it can reach many musicians and schools. Thanks for saving my time from being destroyedā¤ļøā¤ļø

this gravitational field comparison actually opened my eyes and unlocked a new way of thinking it, one day when i become so good and having relative pitch, ill come back to this video and edit this comment, thank u a lot bro
-
i likwe your analogy of a key center as a gravitational field. nice.

Wow very good video! I assume I got recommended this video because I just uploaded a video speaking of the same thing, though on a simpler level, not as in-depth and great as you do it here! Thanks for this video, you got a new subscriber!

I've been floundering on guitar for 30yrs, when i was a teenager I peaked because i have no ear, kids i taught guitar would take off and be able to play anything and i stayed the same

I enjoyed this entry level lesson a lot and would to know more but cannot afford the ongoing lessons

There are 2 apps named Meludia and Functional ear trainerā¦ they donāt train ears through intervals. Can you please tell me are those apps good enough to train my ears.
-
Thank you for this. Most ear training exercises (at least in US institutions) is heavily flawed because it ignores training the intuitive sense of gravity within an instant tonal environment. Instead it emphasizes isolated interval practice. Moving from isolated intervals to intermediate or advanced dictation is a very difficult bridge to gap for the average musician.

Do you have an actual complete course on singing intonation or will that be covered in the ear training course?
-
I love this video! :)
-
So are you saying that those students who are very familiar with all 12 scales will do well compared to beginners who may not?
-
Where's the link?

OMG this is intuitive for me as I instinctively refused to move on until I have all the major key totally down. Then the sharps and move onto chords. But as a self taught pianist was too hard to put into words, I just feel what is right. This makes absolute sense. However, am I missing something as canāt find the website to do the free course. However, Iāve just the seen the price of the course and I guess itās another one for the wealthy. Why so expensive?! Itās not very inclusive!š¢ I will be doing the freebie of course.š
