Pursuit/MC AR-201 Norfolk Baxter County Arkansas State Police Troop I, Traffic Series Ep. 1098

I-2's incident report: "While stationary on State Highway 201 near Shady Grove, I observed a black sport-style motorcycle traveling southbound. As the motorcycle passed my location, I observed it make an illegal pass on a double yellow. I pulled out behind the motorcycle and activated my emergency lights. The motorcycle pulled to the shoulder and stopped briefly before the driver accelerated rapidly to flee. I notified Troop I dispatch of the active pursuit and gave my location and a description of the motorcycle and the driver. The motorcycle continued driving in a reckless manner southbound on State Highway 201. The motorcycle made several illegal passes of vehicles in the same lane with oncoming traffic present. The motorcycle was crossing into oncoming traffic and continuing to flee. A Baxter County Deputy was parked partially blocking the highway near the Norfork Cafe. The motorcycle sped around him and continued driving south on Highway 5. As the motorcycle approached the sharp curves near Jordan Road, the driver accelerated too fast, causing him to drive into oncoming traffic. He lost control of his motorcycle, driving into the northbound ditch line, striking a road sign before fleeing on foot into a thick wooded area. After approaching the suspect, he surrendered to my verbal commands and was taken into custody without further incident. During a search incidental to the arrest, one zig-zag pouch containing a marijuana joint, and a small white plastic container with two marijuana cigarettes was in a cloth backpack in the suspect's possession. In addition, a small round glass container with marijuana was in the suspect's right front pocket. All items seized will be held in the Troop I evidence vault under the control number 202407301650221. The suspect was transported to the Baxter County detention center and was charged with the following: 27-51-307 Improper Passing on Left 27-50-308 Reckless Driving 5-54-125 Fleeing by Vehicle Class D Felony 5-54-125(c) Fleeing on Foot Class A Misdemeanor 5-64-419(b)(5)(A) Possess Controlled Substance VI <4 ounces (Marijuana) Class A Misdemeanor 5-64-443(a)(2) Possess Drug Paraphernalia (Marijuana) Class A Misdemeanor 27-16-303 Driving on a Suspended License Class A Misdemeanor 27-14-314(a)(2)(A) Failure to Register Motor Vehicle 27-14-306 Fictitious Vehicle License 27-22-104 No Liability Insurance Warrant Norfork City Marshall for Failure to Appear #WR2420"

Fleeing from ASP is dumb. Fleeing from ASP on a motorcycle is beyond double dumb. Thank you, Lt. Hubbard!

OK, kids, when you’re driving along, and there’s a high-speed chase next to you you’re supposed to yield, which means pulling over and getting out of the way. The more you know. ⭐️

That guy did not know how to ride and that bike was really squirrely in those curves. He was lucky he didn't hit that sign pole faster it would have cut him in half!!! SMH, jeeze louise! When u know the area. U know the driver screwd up when he took off. The bike wasnt fast enough. Plus the trooper knows the area very well. That's highway 5 south. From Salesville to Calico Rock Ark. He keeps that up. 3 to 4 miles down the road. Is North Central Unit. (NCU) Arkansas Department of Corrections. Right before u get to the prison. ASP troop I building. He's headed the right way. He will be out on the chain gang. Clearing brush or picking trash up. Along the area highways. 😂😂😂

Crashing into the woods at that speed?? And he walked away?!?! Had he come face to face with a tree in those woods I'd hazard a guess that the tree would have suffered much less damage then he.

Why would you run on a bike that maxes out at 95mph 😂

Once again they turn a couple misdemeanor into a few felonies by running. So scared of getting caught with a couple joints and some loose weed they just run until they crash and get caught anyway. The fleeing was worse than the weed charge or FTA warrant. Something tells me he won’t show up for the next court date either. Keep turning them out on street until somebody dies. SMH System is currently broken. Good job on part of the troopers.

It amazes me every time I watch one of these chases, how disrespectful other drivers are at not pulling over!
