Join me on my extreme cold weather camping adventure where I braved temperatures as low as 2F/-16C. Using two insulated tents inside a large insulated tent, I cooked panciet and stayed cozy with temps inside reaching as high as 80F. Watch as I conquer the cold and share my tips for staying warm in extreme conditions.

When I was homeless I used a one person tent big enough for me to sit up in without my head touching the roof and put a comforter (thick blanket) over top of it then hung up a tarp to repel rain. That one comforter over top made it so I could sit up in my tent just in a hoody in 34F weather and be perfectly warm. Pre bought Insulated tents are very expensive. I tried putting more blankets over top of it but it made the tent pole start to bend over so if you want to use even more blankets for better insulation I recommend using string to lift the other blankets off the tent slightly to hold some of the weight. Also I used four layers of cardboard on the inside floor of the tent for bottom insulation because the cold will eat right through your sleeping bag if you don’t have bottom insulation. Having my own tiny tiny home in the winter where I could be very warm with just my body heat was such a luxury for me.

Bless youtube algo. Pleasantly surprised to watch someone cook a classic Filipino dish. I watched for the camping but stayed for the cooking. 😂💪

I'm filipino and a camper from the PNW. You made pancit (no bell peppers next time though), had an ube snack and said grace before dinner. You just may be part filipino.... or at least in your past lifetime. Love your vid!

  • Watching and listening to you pray before your meal was refreshing. Made me realize I am a part of a community far greater than I could ever know. Keep up your passion brother.

I CAN HONESTLY SAY THIS!!! I have never thanked anyone on here for praying for me! Literally for a total lack of it ever happening! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE PRAYERS! It is such a rare thing anymore. Please keep it going!

  • I'm not Christian, but I really respect a man who held high his faith. Btw nice pancit, I personally like it with pepper and sweet soy sauce. Good video, man 👍 keep it up!
  • @shinjiprofile
I can't believe you made pancit for the first time and nailed all the steps that's a Filipino food right there.

You are a kind and entertaining man. I watch dozens of these types of programs and yours is a delight. It's fun to watch you having the best time of all. Solace, Peace and time to reflect is what keeps you thoughful and strong. Your prayer was heartfelt and really resonated, a lot of your viewers agree. You are doing a wonderful service to those who watch your experiences. Thank You.

I appreciate the fact that you included us (1.9m, and counting) in on your prayers. I need them, thanks. Regarding the tent setup. For years now (I'm from MN) I always believed if I needed to journey home, one of my "go to " solutions would be a regular tent inside a structure. Even at home, if we ever lost heat I'd prepare a small space and have a tent set up for more comfortable sleeping. I did try a tent once for fun righ inside my hotel room, no heat. It worked well.
  • @robg521
The 4 poster bed was designed to do the same job, they would have thick heavy curtains that when you closed would trap the heat in around the bed. [In effect a bed, inside a tent inside the bedroom]
  • @lynnzerben
All I could think of during the set up was, “He made a turducken tent!” 😂 This looks so cozy
  • @tinglelingaling6
I'm a bit claustrophobic, but I try not to be a baby about it. But there would be no way I could sleep inside that 3rd tent lol. It does look cozy but I would prob get the sweats and shakes. Funny because I can sleep with a blanket over my head as long as my face and one foot is out. Anyone else? I know I can't be alone. I really like your videos. I pray right along with you. Cheers

Totally ran into this vid by pure accident. Teared up hearing you pray. Thank you. May the Lord bless you.
