Thanks so much for watching! I LOVE hearing from you all, and I read every comment, so let me know what you think, or any ideas you have for future videos, in the comments below!
  • The way you used that pocket hole jig was actually painfull. If the drill is not the same size as the hole you feed it through to the wood, you don't have any benefit from the jig. and if it does have the same size, the drill will eat your jig, so you need a metal surface inside there. Good idea in principle, but this is a one use disposable tool if you use it right. And if you don't use it right, you don't have to use it at all, because it does nothing for you.

Would really like to hear about what different things like bearings, hardware, and others were super useful for you!
  • @polarbearjf
Yep! Would definately love to see your 3D Printing tool collection, keep up the great work! Also the bearing screws etc you have for just in case projects would be awsome too!

Super keen for the extra components video. Tools would be interesting also šŸ‘
  • @tomsmith3045
Thanks for this! I was expecting the list to have maybe 3-4 useful tools out of the giant list, but you presented MANY useful tools. You also presented tools that weren't just specific to 3D printing, which is even better. I'd love to see integration of 3D prints with other building techniques, such as woodworking and working with metal. As an example, 3D printed bushings to work with steel square tubing, to permit rotation or telescoping designs that may require some mig welding, but that don't need lathe or mill work, because of 3D.

  • @DEtchells
Another vote for a video on useful components(!) Iā€™m all about having stock on hand so I have it when I need it, being able to just place one big Ali express order to get equipped would be great!
  • @therick0996
i never need an excuse to spend money on 3D printing. bring on the tool list!
  • @alexjunk6216
I would love to hear more about all the extra components you have around for your projects or even what you have on hand to troubleshoot your printers. Thank you!
  • You are just a fountain of great ideas, secondhand maybe or original I couldn't keep up with the flow but I'm seeing some real possibilities here. Thanks so much; keep up with these useful shop and fixing problems type videos. Everybody has a world of challenges.

For the bit holder: Try out carbon-fiber polycarbonate, it's slightly flexible but also very strong. It needs an abrasive-resistant nozzle, a well-maintained printer, in some cases a temperature-controller enclosure, a ~100c bed and a ~300c hotend. Your Prusa should be able to handle that though! It's definitely not my favorite material to print with, but it is my favorite in terms of end product properties. Another thing to try is to just make a "solid block" with slightly oversized hex-shaped holes in it, and put a strong neodymium strip embedded in the bottom to hold the bits in their holes. Absolutely loving your channel btw, and the clean look of your studio!
  • @billcs66
The 3d list of part you need would be great. Thank you
  • Loved this video! Definitely printing that speed square asap. Thanks, and shavoua tov!
