I love cow ghee, I’m from the Middle East and we also use ghee in our cuisines…it’s the only fat I use for cooking, and it tastes great for cooking literally anything, meat, veges, even for baking cakes. I like butter just fine, but ghee is cheaper where I live and it comes in huge tins. Other than ghee, the only other fat/oil I use is extra virgin olive oil in my salads. I quit seed oils, margarine and sugar since I was in my 20s, best decision I’ve ever made for my health!

Ghee is different energetically and body does not respond to it as to dairy. It has a balancing quality to all doshas and cools down inflammation. The saturated fat in it is actually good for the heart. I eat 3 tsp of ghee daily to support healthy hormones, put it on my crown and feel to cool down the heat of summer. It’s good for the skin too. Dab of ghee on the crown, feet & bellybutton will bring down blood pressure quick 😊

I love Ghee for my skin. It appears nourished, and glows when I use it on my skin. Whenever I use it, I receive compliments. I alternate between Ghee 8 castor oil. Thank you for the recipe. I’ll give it a try.

Cook it in slow cooker. Skim when needed. Strain & pour in canning jars when hot. Use hot jars. The heat will seal lids. Does not need to be refrigersted
  • I use Ghee , grass fed Butter and Olive oil to cook with but have never tried Ghee on my skin. I notice too many people in the grocery stores buying Canola Oil .

My grandparents always used lard and they lived to be old. My parents also used lard when I was growing up. I use 💯 avocado oil but have real bad rheumatoid arthritis. My inward ankles are coming out of place along with plantar fasciitis and achilles bursitis. I ask God to heal me with this ailment because I’m in pain. Please pray God for my healing. Thank you!!!

also melted ghee and tumeric together make a great homemade mask that deeply penetrates the skin. The tumeric helps to exfoliate and brighten the skin so much while the ghee really moisturizes with so many vitamins snd nutrients. Its really takes any crepiness away also... Just make sure to cleanse the skin very well afterwords.

  • @zoyeebeanie433
In India we prefer ghee made of Bilona Method from A2 milk & from Gir cow breed ( never jersey cow 🐄)
  • @mkm44
That’s why the French chefs have used butter rather than oil for years and people wonder why they don’t have heart disease.
  • @Lorrieonline
Good points about Ghee. Very important for those with MS. Casein gets attacked by the immune system and due to molecular mimicry, the white blood cells then move straight on to the nerve coating (myelin). LDL is a whole other issue. Until they regularly test me for the large particle versus the small, I'll be steering quite clear of any statins. Even then, I will always adjust my diet instead of taking a statin. Great topic!! Thank you.

I love ghee and butter :) I feel like it has helped balance my hormones since I added them back into my diet. Dr Rajani, what are your thoughts on the essential fatty acid C15 that was discovery fairly recently by the veterinarians in the Navy studying dolphins? Looks very interesting. Thanks

When I am deficient in a nutrient I usually crave a food with that nutrient I am deficient in.
  • @dakotahstr
As a retired cook,we had to make ghee at the college and was tested on it. Cool. Making your own butter is easy.
  • @DebbieTDP
There are hundred years old ghees in India. Mine lasts months not weeks.😅 Cholesterol is 25% from food 75% endogenous, it's more likely that carbs will raise your bad one than fats (good fats).
  • @RobinB58
I use Coconut oil and nutpod in my coffee every day and froth it. I love it!
