  • The trick also works if your number is smaller than that of the spectator. In this case, at the end, the counting will be done face up starting from your number towards that of the spectator. Merci beaucoup de France!
  • Just wondering, in your example the 10th card was chosen by spectator (so he may realize his card is 10 cards from the bottom). Then later you're counting 15 cards down from the top. There's 52 cards in the deck, so as far as the spectator knows, there's no way you could reach his card. You would need to deal out 42 cards to get to the 10th from the bottom. When you find their card 15 cards down, then they know you did something behind your back. Of course they are expecting some kind of trick, but just saying this would prove you did something behind your back (technically you told them you were trying to make a mental connection etc...). I realize a lot of people aren't analyzing the card positions like this, but some are. Still a good trick in that you don't really need any extra card skills.
