While Push 2 is "just a controller" it is not really necessary to look at the computer screen with Ableton Live! Because Push 2 itself is more than enough! 🌍 Hello World! My name is Ihor.
This is my channel where I share my experiences, ideas, reviews and tutorials related to Electronic Music Production. I focus mostly on Techno and House music. In my Studio on my Music Production Desk you will find a variety of different gear like: digital and analog synth, eurorack modular, drum machine, sampler, effect, mixer, guitar pedal, MIDI controller. I am myself an engineer and I am quite obsessed with the Music Technology and Sound Design. I like making music without a computer. I like playing Electronic Music Live with my Minimal Dawless Setup. I love Eurorack Modular Techno and always keen to talk about the modular workflow.
I strongly believe that nothing can be better than a good Dawless Techno Jam!

I had been trying to come up with a way of setting device parameters on a per-clip basis, 'digitakt-pattern-style'. Your tip was exactly what I as looking for. To put it in your words: yeah, nice ! One additional thing I would do is give the variation a different shade of the track color so it's easily identifiable. That also makes me wonder if this can reset your device parameters, 'digitakt-reaload-pattn-style'.

Nice tips! Another way that may be a little easier to embed automation is to automate the device on/off per clip. I don’t recall if you can do this entirely within the Push 2, but it could save some efforts in certain situations.

I’ve also been getting right into ableton for the last few months. Question can you use the push to record parameter/volume changes when your in record to the timeline mode? Thanks for the great video tempted to get a push now haha
