B&B O-gauge Railroad with emphasis on DL&W

Publicado 2015-01-04
Here is a brief look at an O gauge layout I've been working on for quite some time. As you can see in some photos it is still a work in progress, but it's fully functional and enjoyable to operate. Most of the locomotives are MTH Proto 1 with a few Proto 2s. It's a manual block system. The Lackawanna Limited shown in some of the slides is a custom built train consisting of MTH, Lionel and K-line heavyweight passenger cars some of which are custom lettered and painted. Others are out of the box. The Nickel Plate cars are custom painted former NYC Lionel heavyweights. The theme of the railroad is 1959 or earlier, the last year N&W ran steam. You will notice no cars in town are newer than 1959. If you could see the freight cars in detail you would notice all are manufactured in the 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s. I plan to do a video of this layout with features on some of the cars I custom painted. The Lackawanna Limited is pulled by ABA F3 diesels from MTH, Proto 2 and is circa 1947, shortly before it was replaced by the Phoebe Snow. Radius on curves are 080 and 092, I think. I built it to handle a Big Boy if need be. There is a C&O Alleghany and N&W Y6b. This is my first ever attempt to upload anything onto You Tube. I plan to do more shortly.

Very nice layout! I wish I had the space for a rail yard.

It appears not too many liked my slide show, but who cares?

I have three thumbs down to my slide show. I guess no one likes my railroad. Oh well, I enjoy it.
