You didn't realise London had a large theatre district? The West End is the world's largest and most prestigious theatre area in the world.

I moved to England from the US over a decade ago and I still remember being in awe of London! Having moved around a bit through the country and travelled to Scotland, Wales and Ireland (north and republic) I always find the people amazingly friendly! Such beautiful countryside, cities and people.

The London West End theatre district dates back to the 1660, Broadway started in 1903

When Alicia tripped on the bus and apologised profusely she became British after the third sorry 😊

Great tour of London, we learned a ton! That local pub tip is really cool, anything to feel like locals while traveling is amazing. ❤❤

I love Gordon's Wine Bar. In winter you can take shelter inside the vaults & in the summer you can sit out in the alley way & drink in the sun👍

Buckingham Palace is a huge square with a central courtyard, you are only seeing one side from the gates😮

Contrary to belief in America, the Brits don’t call French fries chips, they call them French fries. Those are not French fries, they’re chips. French fries are a thinner crisper cut of potatoes. Chips are thicker and fleshier cut.

There used to be a booth in Leicester Square where you can purchase theatre tickets at reduced cost on the day.

Back in the 60’s Downing Street didn’t have gates, I saw Harold Wilson from across the house.

Even fairly rural towns have bus stops telling you the arrival time of the next bus. A bus stop near us does, and the buses are only every 30 minutes even at peak times!

Not seen your videos before, but LOVED your editing, and how you enjoyed London. Thankyou!
  • Really enjoyed this vlog! You two are a lot of fun to watch, and I am now a subscriber. I'm definitely going to look back at your previous videos too. Thanks for the light hearted but informative vlog.

Fantastic video and welcome to our beautiful city! Another recommendation is to go for a cheese toastie (toasted cheese sandwich) the best one (personal opinion here) would have to be Pistachio & Pickle (cool name right?) in Islington - there are 2 branches but if you head to the original one which is along Camden Passage (this gorgeous Georgian narrow street)
  • We were in London back in 2018 too and only saw Big Ben under construction, so we have to go back! We had no idea the changing of the guard ceremony was that long!
  • @JohnSmall314
If you're a Dr Who fan the telephone box outside Earl's Court station is the place to get a photograph of yourself.
  • Your personalities complemented the arty video shots of some extraordinary architecture, and the content of your humorous verbal commentary placed this video amongst the best that I've seen. You didn't mention the weather either, which is a first for visiting cousins. Smashing job, ( English expression), and I look forward to more of the same. Thanks. Sheffield South Yorkshire.

Taking the tube in London is also iconic!

The West End is the oldest Theatre district and is regarded as the 'Theatre Capital of the world!' :) Next time, you can get cheap tickets at 12pm via box office or via various apps.
