BREAKING: Global IT 'disaster' affects airlines, banks and broadcasters across the world

It is believed the meltdown is related to an issue at the software company Microsoft and global cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike - although it is unknown if it is the same problem is affecting airports and train services across the globe.
Here's the latest update:
- A global IT outage has caused massive disruption to various services
- IT security firm CrowdStrike says it has identified the issue and deployed a fix
- This is not a security incident or cyber attack, according to the firm
- Microsoft says a resolution for Windows devices is "forthcoming" and blames a third party after it issued an update
- The UK government says its COBRA emergency team is responding to the outage
