Comparing ALL my Alcohol Markers!!! Let's See What's Good!

Published 2020-12-08
*I'll be live in the chat at 12:15 PM ET on 12/8/2020 to answer any questions!
In this video, I will compare all of the alcohol markers I have so you can decide what's best for your needs. All of the markers shows are still available and truly there is an alcohol marker for everyone. I am working on digitizing my spreadsheet with links to the product and reviews so you can easily find the info you need and I can update it as I try more markers. I will put a * next to my faves but none of these markers are bad. We all have different needs and budgets. I hope this is helpful!

A couple of things... I refer to average prices people typically pay online, not MSRP so if you are going into a big box art store like Micheals, Joann or Hobby Lobby you will want to bring a coupon as their regular prices are outrageous if they even have the sets you want. Also, I have reviews of most of these markers on my blog and YouTube channel if you want to do more research. Open stock means you can buy markers one at a time.

  • Thank you for such an informative comparison/contrast video. It's always so easy in the art community to default over to Copic or Ohuhu (as the cheaper alternative) but I like how you proved that there's a vast cornucopia of choices on the market. I cut my teeth on the Caliart markers myself (which still work great for me) but then graduated over to Ohuhu, Arteza and then Copic. This video makes me want to dig out my old sets and start using them again, though. LOL
  • Fabulous comparison Lindsay! Absolutely perfect timing! Thank you for all your hard work!💜💜💜
  • @flychk1229
So much information! This is great Lindsay. I appreciate that you know your stuff about various products and do these comparisons for us. Another Lindsay PSA!! 👍👍
  • @jimker155
This was AMAZING!!!!! Ohmigosh!!! I need to watch this again. You know, when you boil down to it, it’s all about the NIB!!!!!
  • @anna-lena4467
So awesome and so bad for a marker addict like myself. I need them ALLLLLL 😅😅😅 No seriously, thanks for this big big comparison.
  • @JaciSheefra
Thank you Lindsey! Excited to get a chance to watch the whole video. :)
  • @TJolie
I have copics and love them but I also love my Art-n-Fly. They're more affordable, work like a dream, and are refillable which was a must for me.
  • @Linda-qq5mg
You really put so much time and effort into this review! It could not be better! Thank you so very much.
  • @claireg5651
WOW, what an incredibly comprehensive marker review!! Amazing!
  • @billiedean5914
My goodness thank you so much for such a great, informative video on the differences on the markers. I have been struggling because I see everyone using the copic, especially on card videos, but darn they are expensive. I appreciate you giving so many options!!
  • Thank you so much! This is great. And I appreciate your tutorials so much, too.
  • OMG Lindsay what a wonderful comparison. Than you so much. I gave a teen a set of Ohuhu last year and she loves them. Your knowledge is fantastic.
  • @rhondita95
Thanks for doing this Lindsay. I have the first improved version of the spectrum noir but I got them when their really wasn’t anything on the market but those and copics and I couldn’t afford copics. But I have small hands and arthritis in them to boot so some of the newer options are much more attractive. I may be able to justify buying new markers to myself by saying that I don’t have brush markers but then again the cost of some of the other markers (like the specials bianyo is having!) make even the chisel/bullet points attractive too. Can’t wait to get your spreadsheet for reference!
  • @bluetkats
Thank you SO much for this video! My favorites are the Blick Studio brush markers; they are SO smooth and blend so well. And thank you very much for noting which brands have the "bouncy" nibs like the Copics. Will have to try some of those. Wish this video had been available before I bought those awful Blick Illustrator markers! I only ordered them because I thought they had bullet nib instead of a brush nib, and because of the sale price. You're so right about them.
  • @mzebony
The Bianyo brush comes in a storage bag, the Chameleon markers are coming in a new design. The Ohuhu Classic now come with swatch cards that include names. I have a lot of markers based on years of your recommendations and I’m happy you did this!! 💙💙💙
  • @stanky6261973
Thank you so much! So in depth and informative. I really appreciate your videos and look forward to them, too. Tfs.
  • This is possibly my favorite TFC video. Da-yamn woman you did the whole thing! OMG!!! WOW!
  • Wowee Lindsay you’ve raised the bar!!!! A brilliant well thought out and executed video! Thank you 😊 I already have many Coptic ciao markers, but am now loving the ShinHan touch brush markers xXx
