My most anticipated YouTube video of the year. Thanks for playing! Going to be addressing a lot of the things you mentioned in this vid.
-
Tyler not realizing that you eat things (like the mushrooms or beer for health) by using them in the hotbar like torches was so funny- it did make the end of the episode especially nerve-wracking though!
-
I 100% thought the thumbnail was for Deeprock Galactic.
-
we all know that have to be said.....ROCK AND STONE
-
rock and stone baybee
-
that trap at the beginning was super evil, not even a moment to react

I was so hoping you'd pick up on this one... I like the idea that this one has actual meaningful progression between runs and that not every run has to end in either failure or beating the final challenge of the dungeon. In this game, you may decide a run ends when you have enough iron to upgrade your tools and armor and that's perfectly OK, well... as long as you've completed a mission or two for home base anyway.

Minors be in the caves. Mining .โ

Ty for previewing this one for us Olexa! Here's a nice timecoded summary for everyone, cheers: 00:00 ๐ค The video is about a pixel-art roguelike game called "Below the Stone" featuring dwarves on a quest for resources, jewels, and battles. 00:45 ๐ก The game's release is expected in 2023, possibly in December, and it offers randomly generated worlds with various biomes and enemies. 02:06 ๐ผ The controls and fluid movement in the game feel good, and the pixel art graphics are appealing. 03:31 ๐ค The core gameplay mechanic involves exploring randomly generated mines, uncovering secrets, and collecting resources. 05:19 ๐ค There are hidden secrets and treasures throughout the game's mines, encouraging thorough exploration. 06:14 ๐ผ The player can equip various items, such as helmets and gloves, to improve their character's abilities and defense. 07:09 ๐ค There are different characters to interact with, including the blacksmith, trader, and foreman, who offer quests and crafting options. 09:19 ๐ก The player can accept multiple quests, but completing at least one is necessary to exit the mines and return to the Dwarven Kingdom. 13:23 ๐ก The player can use the forge to craft items, including weapons and armor, to improve their chances in the mines. 14:47 ๐ผ Navigating inventory and managing resources are crucial for success in the game. 16:12 ๐ก The player can encounter enemies like slimes and bats, and they must be cautious to avoid traps and potential dangers. 22:41 ๐ The game "Below the Stone" is a pixel-art roguelike about dwarves on a quest for the deepest depths. 23:23 ๐งฑ The game involves mining, fighting enemies, and has elements of Minecraft and Terraria, with escape from tarkov style X filling and questing. 24:32 ๐ The game is planned to have 50 biomes, each with unique content, making it content-rich. 29:26 ๐ฅ Be cautious as the game has dangerous unstable areas with traps and explosions. 33:18 ๐ The player needs to find a gold key to access certain treasure chests in dungeons. 37:42 ๐ The player can call the Escape pod but must defend the area before escaping. 39:44 ๐ฎ The demo looks promising, but Olexa is excited for the full release and plans to play the

Oh I would watch a metric fuckton out of this game! :_olexaPOG:

i believe you can heal with the mushrooms, but need to select it same way you hit with the axe
-
the mining/combat remind me of Core Keeper, but the rouguelike elements to it give that a cool twist, definitely looks fun to play too, so looking forward to the release!
-
I'm an avid Dwarf Fortress player, and there definitely seem to be a lot of homages to that game, with how the stockpiles are set up, the layout of the floor, the randomness of the mines. Super excited to play this.

ROCK....AND..... STOOONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
-
I'm gonna need a full playthrough once the game comes out
-
This looks so amazing
-
I really, really like the look of the game, the sprites and the animation.
-
I tried the demo for this too, and I'm looking forward to it
-
Love to see this when it comes out full release

This actually got me really interested in that game. Got here randomly through the algorithm and I think I will stay for a bit longer.
