To the man who lost a leg, I know what you are going through! I’m a BKA on my right leg myself. I won’t lie to you about it, you’ve got some work ahead of you, but I’m sure you realize that. Just know this, that event and your eventual prosthetic DOES NOT define you! Only you can limit yourself! Yes, things will be different, something’s will be a lot harder, even something as simple as putting your clothes on or taking a shower is going to change. But, you are still you! You can/could still be the husband and/or father you were/could be! Everything really important in life will NOT be affected by this! Anything that is affected, you can adapt and overcome! I’ve been missing my leg since 2016, it’s not stopped me from doing anything at all! I just can’t go about it the same way, but I can still go about it. I still work, mow the yard, work on the house, change my own oil, do all the car maintenance for my family and I’m still restoring my 63’ VW ragtop. YOU ARE GOING TO FIND YOUR WAY THROUGH THIS, and I promise you, you can even be a better person for it! You’ll never, ever, take life for granted again, that’s for sure! That alone will give you a “leg up” on everyone else! Don’t loose yourself to this and laugh through it all. Seeing the funny side has helped me get through it and as hard as it may seem, you can too!

Prayers for the team and the crew man who lost his leg. Hope his team takes good care of him so he can provide for his family.

Prayers on going for the team.🙏 Thank you for sharing this with us all. God bless them all.

The NHRA should be helping their racers out or at least spreading the go fund me with their large audience! It’s awesome that other racers have helped and got their impounded bike paid for and broken out of jail! Hope and Pray Ari makes a full recovery!

I raced a street legal Suzuki GSX-R1000 for 18 seasons posting a best of 8.50 @168 mph at age 69 on motor only, no NOS, no turbo, street tire, and no wheelie bar so I know motorcycle drag racing. The words Top Fuel and Motorcycle should never be used together!! LOL Just kidding. Oh man, the poor young man who surviced Top Fuel motocycle racing only to get taken out in a towing accident. How totally unfortunate and tragic. It reminds me of Apollo 12 mission commander Pete Conrad. He flew night combat missions from an aircraft carrier during the Vietnam War and survived. He then flew into space on a tough Gemin 12 mission and survived. Pete flew as mission commander on Apollo 12 and walked on the moon, and survived. But poor Pete did not survive when he crashed his Harley.
