  • Fun fact: The guy who voices Baird was supposed to be a white version of Cole pretty much. Coles VA came in and did such an amazing job they created Cole for him and turned Baird into what Baird is now.

My dad got me a 360 for my birthday and this was one of the first games we got. We played the co-op campaign and beat it on every difficulty. Great memories

Also to add, the novel series written by Karen Traviss does wonders for filling in backstory events and time between games (in the case of between Gears 2 and 3). Highly recommend them!

You're toying with my emotions man, that dom scene is the only time I've ever cried at a game

First time I played Gears, I was really scared at the Berserker part, and called my best friend and neighbor to help me play through it. Then we played through the whole trilogy.
  • I'm replaying the whole series with my friend who i did it with over 10 years ago. Such great fun still
  • Man… I remember the days of fighting over who was going to be Marcus, terrifyingly running away from the berserker, and this franchise has so many great memories for me. GOW2 is also my favorite, and I can’t wait to see that video!
  • GoW is still my favorite game franchise. I have thousands of hours logged in multiplayer across all 5 games. 4 and 5 are okay, but the original trilogy was just so damn good. Dom's arc was just soooo good and his final scene actually made me cry. So good.
  • I know these games are hard to get now but can you do a gaming wins of the games Transformers War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron, they’re really under appreciated games that were really well made and starting to get some of the appreciation they’ve deserved for a while
  • I'm so glad this video exists!!! Thank you!!! Please cover the whole series. I can't find retrospectives about these games other than the Noah Caldwell Gervais video.
  • @Arkem4
I was literally thinking about Gears just the day before this video was posted, the music especially! From the little jingle of the Crimson Omen to the chorus of the main theme, it sticks with me, from the first day I played Gears to now, even though I haven't played anything after Judgment.
  • 8:30 I’m sure anyone who’s played Gears 3 knows Dom actually gets Marcus his $20 lol I love when small details are brought up again
  • When u can sit through all of the 3 first games local co-op in one sitting you know somethings gone right about a game
  • Oh man i literally smiled at seeing Gears of war. The gears of war trilogy was my game i played when i was 10. Being a 10 year old seeing you just chainsaw an enemy seeing all the blood and gore all over the screen was my childhood with halo and cod. This was my Doom
  • I was 10 when I played Gears for the first time and safe to say I emulated Cole till I was 13😂 thinking back now I was so cheesy but for the bros who understood I was so cool 😂
  • This series holds a special place in my heart, can’t wait to see you cover the other games too!

At last. Gears is a series that is fixed in my mind, and I was waiting for you to make videos on it. So grateful.
  • Back in 2010 when I was 10 my aunt married my uncle and he introduced me to the 360. We played Halo 3, Bad Company 2 and we basically lived in Gears of War 2. It was my childhood, if it wasn't for him and Gears of War then I wouldn't have been as into gaming as much as I am now, I would've never met my best friends or my girlfriend. I still love Gears to this day, I still go back and replay the series.
  • You hit EVERY point of what made this game so amazing. The entire reason I saved and bought a 360 was because I saw an article about GOW in a gaming magazine (maybe a Game Informer), and just wanted to try it. The original 3 games were the only games my family played, me, and 7 of my siblings. The sheer number of hours spent playing campaign and multiplayer between all of us…this brought back some great memories.
