I watched the original 1979 alien this morning, first time i watched it was over 35 years ago & you know what ? It's is still a damn good film & would still take some beating

"shuttles will auto launch in 6 minutes" and for once they launched in 6 minutes instead of half an hour.

This gives me old school alien vibes and I’m here for it
  • @John14-6...
This was the best Alien short film I've seen so far.
  • @tootsiedawn2016
I like the growling sound given to the aliens. Makes it more realistic to me.

Travelling in an advanced spaceship and the only weapon they have is one axe
  • @arqcova
it's nice to see that axes are still used in spaceships

The first thing I’d do if I was in any of these movies is Fix the Fucking Lights!

Pretty cool.......felt like going into a theater when there's only 10 mins left in the movie.....round of applause for cast and crew👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
  • I watched polterguist with no problems but it took me ten years to watch the original alien. This brought back all the stress, good job.

This is the first Alien shorts I have watched. I didn't even know they existed. If they are a lead up to a possible movie, I give 2 thumbs up for this one. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Great to go back to the roots and therefore suspense of the first Alien movie. The horror of not being able to abort the ejection shuttle after boarding, and the tension that must have followed is awesome.
  • 4:28 that face expression!! As a film maker myself (not on this channel), I can say that those face expresses look incredible. Great acting. You really should invest in making a full movie.

Well done with an exciting ending. One of my favorites of the series so far. Bravo!

Even for a short film, this is pretty damn creepy, but it's really good...

Very nice. This had something the last few Aliens movies didn't have. Genuine tension. I felt like a kid again watching Aliens for the first time and getting that feeling of dread when they're all holed up behind the door and the motion tracker is going nuts. If they could do a full movie like this and cut out all the modern flashy stylized slow mo shit and instead go for classic suspense style horror they could revitalise the whole franchise.

Brilliant. You honor this franchise with your efforts.
  • @Texscripter
Wow. By FAR the best of the shorts (and I liked them all). Just right into the tension. That was messed up and enjoyable. Well done.
