XF Extreme Formula is a Sci-Fi Racer where you hover over tracks that defy gravity. It's a bit like a colorful rollercoaster, where you can control your cart.
You can mostly compare it to the 3D F-Zero Games, even the controls are similar. The difference is, that boosting doesn't take away your shield, you build up the boost by driving over blue areas on the track, or by driving fast. So if you hit a boost pad on the track, you also build up some charge for your boost. If you boost multiple times in a row (and don't ram anything), you get a higher speed than doing a boost out of your full regular speed.
So if the track allows it, boosting multiple times in a row is a good way to get some distance. Or to use your boost when hitting a boostpad.
One thing to get used to is, that hitting the walls on the track, bounces you a bit to the other side, so if the track is thin at that point, it might cause you to bounce back and forth. Best is, when you stop accelerating for a short time, to get back your control over the vehicle.
Aside the practice track, i played on 10 tracks in this Video, the single race mode promises many more tracks to unlock.
