Atlantic hurricane more likely, new storm forms in the Pacific

In the Atlantic, an area of clouds is passing over the Leeward Islands, and is likely to become a tropical cyclone somewhere near Florida. With model forecasts still wildly varied, the projected track is very uncertain. At present, the GFS is calling for the eventual storm to stall near the Florida Panhandle and strengthen into a substantial hurricane, whilst the European model has the system recurving off the eastern coast of the United States.
