  • This video has been very helpful! I always wanted to go to Seychelles but perhaps I will check out Zanzibar instead because I wanted to experience my people's culture. I'm not looking to vacation in Europe like places, respectfully. 👀
  • Tayo... you need to always reveal the name of the hotels, services or establishments that give crappy and bad service anywhere you go.... this will help the rest of us avoid such places and it will shame them and make them improve their services. Thanks for bringing us this information and videos.
  • @IslandLimer
It is crazy how much this felt like a Caribbean country. The architecture, the beaches, the social problems (colourism)
  • @OnicaMakwakwa
I’m big on supporting locals so I stayed at Daniella’s Bungalow in Mahe, a locally operated guest house. The host, Daniella, is amazing, the place is straight across the beach and on the local bus route which makes getting around the island convenient. She also makes amazing breakfast!

Damnnnnnn I might find myself in Seychelles this weekend after watching this episode
  • @valayalogu
Am watching from Saint Lucia 🇱🇨 and Seychelles looks so much like the island i reside also they speak creole here in Saint Lucia
  • Come on guys let's take tayo to 1 million I have been with him since 26k and he keeps making me love nigeria and Africa more
  • @BeingNeiicey
I agree with everything you said! I just came back from Seychelles not too long ago and said similar things on my vlog and people said to come check yours out. The Europeans gave us all kinds of attitude and dirty looks, the service from the hotel was mediocre, food was OK & it's VERY expensive! It's a beautiful country nonetheless. Would I go back? Probably not, but I'm happy that I crossed it off my bucket list. Great Video Tayo!

Perfect! Now I can plan my trip to Zanzibar with no hesitation. Seychelles was on my list for 2022 but I’ll postpone it for now.

Owning your own narrative, Africa is an amazing continent. Great content

From a fellow seychelleoise I'm very sorry for the way you were treated here.It is nothing new from my people especially when it comes to African tourists it's not the first time people complain about racism here and i feel ashamed for some of our ignorant peope here.I agree with you and i have seen many Africans and Indian expats being mistreated by locals and even black ones.Im glad you showed it how it was and you shared your experience as a black tourist. And about the cost of living seychelles is very expensive even for us the locals.Prices are over exaggerated here. But i feel next time you visit seychelles you should get a better guide who can show you around and help you get better cultural experience for affordable prices

Thank you so much for making this video. As a Seychellois studyin to work in the tourism industry, i completely agree about the service and the treatment not being good enough. And i think this video should be seen by the people that is doing their best at continuing to build our tourism industry so they can have a better idea of what maybe could be their next step. We should be sharing ourselves with our fellow africans and let them know that they are also welcomed, not just european and asian countries.

I really hate how if a country is “not black enough” or “too advanced” or “too exotic” it’s seen as not part of Africa even though geographically they are part of the continent. Such as countries like Egypt, Seychelles, Mauritius, Cape Verde etc. It’s so annoying because Africa is such a diverse continent but non-Africans perpetuate this monolithic image of “What Africa is” , So when there are countries that are different from what Africa is perceived like they are subconsciously dissociated from the rest of the continent. *ETA*: Oh my goodness! Some of you have completely missed the point so let me clarify. I am not trying to claim Arabs, white South Africans and Indians as Africans! What I’m saying is that as long as a country is geographically part of the African continent it IS AN AFRICAN COUNTRY! Whether the people that inhabit there identify as African or not. Egypt is a country in the North of Africa. Seychelles is a country right off the coast of East Africa. Cape Verde is a country right off the coast of West Africa! So Africans and those of African descent explore the beautiful continent of Africa and all of its diversity (the islands, the deserts in North and Southern Africa etc. ) . Don’t let the locals or the muzungus make you feel like you shouldn’t be there.

Thanks for the great vid @Tayo ... I have fond memories of the Seychelles as my wife and I went there for our honeymoon almost a decade ago ... I have never seen another island so beautiful like the Seychelles ... Our host family was just amazing and we have kept in touch to this day (Check Au Fond De Mer View Self Catering Apartment in Anse Royale) ... The warmth and culture of the Seychellois people will never leave my memory ... I look forward to going back with the kids sometimes in the near future :-)

Seychelles is absolutely beautiful! I don't mind going there to settle. Nice vlog, Tayo.
  • Seychelles is absolutely beautiful. We have visited over the past 40 years and watched it become a sort after exclusive resort but although I can’t afford to visit any more I think it is worth every penny in you can 💜
  • Happy belated birthday to you, Tayo. Many happy returns of the day, in sound health, in wealth and in joy and happiness. Cheers to many many years ahead!

This video is really expensive sometimes I wonder how he funds this videos for our entertainment and just for us to see, guys let's do what we can to support him by watching ad's. But still, great videos always a banger!
  • I visited Seychelles from Nigeria in 2018 and stayed at Mahe but also spent time at La Digue and Praslin. It was lovely but I totally relate to this video. I felt a bit unwelcome starting from the Airport. I was especially upset when the black seychellois Immigration officer allowed everyone to pass through but stopped my new bride's bag to have it searched, without any good explanation. Not the best way to start a honeymoon. However, our rented villa and hosts were lovely and very accomodating. By day 2, ee ditched the exorbitant taxis and paid pennies for buses which allowed us to experience the real Seychelles
  • @airgoldbaby
Crazy! Yesterday I was researching vacation spots and I was considering Seychelles for my mom's birthday now I think Zanzibar would be best. Thanks for the Video
