i ran 2 sets of wildpeaks on my ranger, now I'm running a set of Rubitreks, can't beat the price, great on the highway, great in the snow, no problems off-road and no problems pulling my boat up the ramp. I'll be getting another set of Rubitreks when these wear out.

FYI, Tyler, the Rubi's are the same tires pretty much, just created for different retail markets with a slightly different mold. Been running both for 10 years, since Falken was a budget cheap brand. Probably bought 10 sets at this point. Used to be half the price of Toyos. Also, neither are stellar offroad, or in snow. The compound is too hard. BUT, the little bit you compromise offroad, you gain 2 fold in longevity. They'll last twice as long as a bfg, but you only lose a bit of traction. The main way tires wear out is losing rubber on hot asphalt. In the summer desert, you can literally watch them wear away between fill ups. The Falkens are the only, out of many tires, that our tour company has found to hold up.

I first had Falken on my Jeep when they were making their way onto the off road market, loved the tires because of their performance and reasonable price. As their popularity grew, so did their price. and in some cases more than "proven" off road tires. I now run the Milestar Patagonia XT, an under rated tire in my opinion.
  • Ran BFG KO2 for a while on my Colorado, went to Rubitreks because I don’t do a lot of off roading and I love them much better. Smooth, quite but still aggressive looking. Also can’t beat the price of these tires vs BFGs.
  • I picked up the rubritreks for my tundra on your recommendation a while back and I love them, been rock solid for me and the skinny tire look is 🤌🤌
  • I don’t think I’ve ever had a subpar product from Japan, pr being Japanese branded. Makes me happy to know that there is a culture putting out great products at amazing value.
  • Good, informative video made by a person who knows what they are talking about. That's rarely seen these days. Thank you.
  • I’ve had both tires and love them both. Off-road performance were very similar but the Rubitrek has the edge on the highway. I think pricing is higher on the wildpeaks because of the 30 day ride and it’s also their best selling tire. When I went to replaced my wildpeaks with the rubitreks, I saw the price difference, saved 102 for my size and have, imo, a better tire which never thought possible. Both are amazing tires! Good video btw.
  • Ive have these on my Titan for a year now and they are an awesome in all conditions.
  • @marlinnotfish
I bought these tires for my truck they were on sale at the time. Extremely pleased with them

Great video! You Explained all the details very well. It’s funny bc I just found out about this tire yesterday online while looking at all different A/T tires.

Great video! I decided to give the Rubitreks a shot on my 4Runner. I dont really go off roading, I do take a lot of country dirt roads and we get some bad winter storms here in NW Pa so I seem to be the target driver for these tires.

I'm running the Rubitreks on my Toyota Highlander. I like the aggressive look and the hwy performance has been great. Since I just recently purchased them I haven't had them off pavement much yet. I mostly do dirt roads and fire roads in the High Sierra. My one adventure so far they did feel good going over rough roads, rocks through creeks... in the slippery mud/clay I was experiencing some slipping and sliding but never got stuck. Great tire in my opinion.

Getting a set of the Rubes now…this vid made me feel good about that decision. Many thanks!
  • @ithryn
Oh hey an idaho off road youtuber, im in the boise area, cool to see 208 represented. Rubitreks will definitely be on my radar next time i need tires
  • @leonotthelion
Got a set of the P rated tires on my 4Runner. It handles great on wet roads, and they are SMOOTH and quiet. Way quieter than the KO2s ive had. Off-road handling is great for what I typically get into (No mud)
  • @JRs-guitars
" Tread wear: 660A vs 600A" This means that the Rubitrek is a slightly softer compound geared more towards snow/ice, rain and on road use. Also, a less aggressive version of the AT3W for those reasons overall. Those are the legitimate differences.
  • Awesome video, my tire guy put me on to the rubis since they were about $20 cheaper per tire in 265/75/16, and they have been absolutely smooth and silent on my sport trac and surprisingly good in mud. Hoping central PA gets some snow for me to put them to the test.
  • Thanks for making this video! Not too much info on the Rubitrek. Definitely picking some up now.
