I've watched your videos for a couple years but this is the first time I can remember reading the comments on one. You must have a great temperament to put up with some of these people without lashing out. Thanks for making these, I find them useful and entertaining.

That is the Suzanne Somers diet. It was called Somersizing. It put protein/fat meals and carb meals four hours apart.
  • @Grimfel
Thomas, you are the gift that keeps on giving. Keep up these incredible videos 👍
  • @FPSDave
Been watching you for years and one thing that you’ve stayed consistent with (which is awesome) is the structure and set up of your videos. - intro - explanation - studies - advice / tips - outro

I'm not doubting or arguing about what you are saying, but this is beyond my limit of planning. I have a good exercise plan, good diet, and good health habits. No labs out of whack or medical problems. There comes a point for each of us where it's just too much planning or effort. I won't incorporate this one, but do appreciate hearing about it. Looking forward to the next video.

1 step closer everyday to Thomas’s biceps, Yh I’m never gonna stop talking abt em. Need mines like that

I did this back in 2000. It definitelty worked for me then, but I haven't heard it mentioned since. What I learned then was Protien & Carbs OK. Protien & Fat OK. Fat & Carbs ... avoid. That and avoid high glycemic index carbs. A glazed donut was given an example of about as bad a food as it gets, bread and sugar and grease.

I think this might be the best way to proceed. I’ve thought a lot about the carnivore diet, but feel I need fruits and vegetables , but didn’t know how and when to eat it.
  • Nope, I don't believe this is necessary. I'm currently in France on the border of Switzerland. I'm staying with locals and I've asked them so many questions about their diet. They are so skinny and energetic but they mostly eat bread, cheese, buttered potatoes, chocolate. I've had fondue 2 nights out of 3 and my friends say they eat cheese in large quantities with bread everyday. It's unbelievable
  • There's a certain number of calories that you can eat every day that will keep you under 10% body fat. You've got to figure out how much food that is and adhere to it. It's that simple.
  • @truthtelleranon
This has been known for quite some time, but good it’s being shared more. Documentaries like “Fat Head” illustrated all this in detail, over a decade ago.
  • @pangaeuspress
Oh, we're not going to judge you. Not most of us, anyway. We just listen and take it for what it's worth, which is almost always gold. Thank you.
  • Imo, the bigger player in the carb/fat combining equation is dopamine. Fats and carbs, separetely, both spike dopamine, but fats combined with carbs REALLY spike dopamine. If you're dealing with an eating disorder, as most of us are (*cough* jack in the *cough* box), this is going to be either potential binge city or cravings town- both zip codes that nobody wants to be anywhere near. The way the body processes carbs and fats is fairly meaningless next to the brain chemistry that drives our addiction.
