Russia unleashed one of the largest aerial barrages on Ukraine in recent months. The Ukrainian Air Force claimed that it had downed all the projectiles - 89 drones and a missile. Kyiv and some central and eastern Ukrainian regions were the target of Russia's latest attack. Ukraine military spy agency's spokesperson claimed that Russia's blitz was made up of decoy drones to detect Ukraine's defences and deplete them. Watch for more details.

    Very clever move by Russia. They target Kiev which means ukraine must focus all their air defences in that non-combat area leaving the greater battle area free of air defences allowing Russian aircraft to attack safely and whenever they want. Not to mention the waste of very expensive air defences on cheap drones.

We have started to consider alternative options to direct budget support for Ukraine. This is becoming an increasingly important challenge for us The envoy added that the Ukrainian government must also independently look for ways to increase revenues in its federal budget.
