Mind-blowing results! Honestly, my first thought when seeing the thumbnail was "Wow, someone got to test-drive the real C-3PO suit?"
-
Anthony Daniels himself commented that he couldn't take a step or make any move without pinching and bruising. So I guess you're doing it right! :)
-
That is CRAZY COOL! post this everywhere. Great craftsmanship, idea, executed perfect and best C 3PO 😃
-
3D-PO looks great!
-
Holy buckets. Your dedication to your craft is amazing. Not to mention your iron self-control over claustrophobia! O_O
-
This makes me so glad that my clone armor has lots of spots where fans can be installed.
-
I was running the Sabacc table about fifty feet from where you pit the outfit on! It was really cool to see!!
-
Just incredible dedication & patience you must have! Brilliant C3PO you made!
-
WOW! That's amazing! It turned out phenomenally! 11/10 I would not want to attempt that myself, let alone be sealed into that suit - it looked VERY uncomfortable.
-
Great idea using your jaw to hit the switches. The red eyes are great!
-
Powers to you! C-3P0 is not an easy cosplay to pull off. Firstly, you'd have to practically skin and bones to wear the costume, and if you can good luck seeing out of it, Needless to say, you and your crew did a fantastic job!

So impressive what people can do with these printers

I am about embark on the journey as well and your videos have been amazing! Thank you for sharing your experience! I will definitely be rewatching certain videos as I begin my own build 😊

Awesome build! I've had really decent luck with the plastic weld staples. I use a glue gun with PLA "glue sticks" to hide the seams and slightly increase the durability. It also covers any of the staples that may have broken off a little shy of the intended depth. Lots of free .stl files available for the glue sticks.

Great project. An easier way to join PETG is just to glue it with MEK. It melts it together and yes it's nasty stuff, but the strength is the same as if it's one piece of PETG. It's a much better bond than CA on PETG. I've used resin to fill stuff and a hot glue gun works great for sealing seams instead of tape.

Great build! I will have to look into the liquitex too. People who have never done large 3d prints that require finishing never understand just how long sanding takes. Your video makes it look easy and quick but I bet it took a long time.
-
Awesome build, great design of the stomach area, hope you really did have a great time wearing it.
-
Nice work printing, painting and assembling C3PO's armor costume. Cool.
-
Looks awesome. I will have to try the modeling paste next time I do larger prints.

A real love to the detail you have there. Its awesome! 💛
