Love the fact Saitama's not oblivious to Garou or the kid's state. Like, he honestly has no reason not to smear Garou across the landscape, but he does get that the kid wants Garou to be okay, and so is willing to just... stop him. Not kill him, like he does to the monster of the week.

Saitama asking the kid to double check that he doesn't want Garou dead is probably one of the best things Saitama has done. Beforehand with how vehement Garou has been about being a monster, it is very easy to think that it could eventually lead to Saitama killing him. But with Saitama asking the kid if he wanted him stopped and not killed, it alleviates some of that worry. The man needs some sense beaten into him, not to be killed.

This is not a hero vs monster fight, these are 2 heroes settling their differences, one has been underestimated and looked down on (Saitama), and the other was misunderstood and wants to show how he feels (Gauro)

I swear if Garou becomes good in the future it will because of Saitama beating some sense into him that he’s actually a good guy and the kid that he keeps saving…intentionally unintentionally. The kid was a reflection of what Garou was looking for. They are the people that truly understand him. The ones who can truly see his true kindness, hidden by a facade of rage and hatred.

I love how we knew the premise of One punch Man from the Start : Saïtama is the strongest person in the universe. But even knowing that, this anime is one of the best i have ever watched. They did such an amazing job focusing on the side characters There is no power of love or Friendship, Saïtama is Cracked and thats it. 🥺
