I'm got more lessons on guitar soloing, music theory, how to write music, and just generally how to be a good musician. It's so fun. We've got a weekly Q&A where Patrons can ask me anything and over 200 lessons uploaded so far. Come check it out.

I'm a member of your Patreon group. Your lessons are fantastic. I'm a complete beginner and I actually made some contributions to my jam group last night using things I've learned from you. Keep up the outstanding work.

I am for like 3 years on his patreon school stuff. I still learning a bunch and getting better on guitar everyday. This guy is a bug in the Matrix! Jesus!

I watch a lot of guitar learning channels but you are the only one that can articulate any theory, technique fully without creating confusion to the viewers.

448k subscribers and only 18 videos on the channel. It's remarkable. Truly an example of how quality is more important than quantity.

Great video. I'm a longtime drummer that started learning guitar just before Covid. I had a few in person lessons then everything stopped. I turned to the internet to continue since I was locked in my home for a year. I fell down the CAGED rabbit hole. Something my guitar teacher and bandmates were completely against. I didn't get it at all until I stumbled across your lesson on it. I'm now a gigging guitar player and I want you to know your free videos are a huge reason. I still play drums but I can honestly say I have a better understanding of the fretboard than the guitarist in my band. He's good, but is quite limited. He's blown away with how I can play chords all over the fretboard. He has to use a capo to do what I do with the CAGED system. And he still won't learn it because he doesn't want to get "caged" in. Anyways thank you so much.

This man is so good that his return is making plenty of people happy. No one could fill his void on YouTube. which rarely happens.

I've been with Scott's Patreon school for almost 18 months. I've learned so much and really enjoying it. I get more enjoyment from SPJ lessons than I do my Netflix subscription. (I do, really! )

This is gold, literally gold, I’ve never seen any content like this, thanks a lot 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I can't believe it took me until now for the algorithm to find you [the caged video was the first one suggested]. You're one of few YouTube guitar channels that gives great quality lessons, and have the best format with the screen layout and the overlays on the frets by far.

You are an amazing teacher. You have no idea how much you helped beginners to feel comfortable practicing solos. Thanks for your work!
  • @creeperstevey3
your visualizations are so good and intuitive! you must put so much time into these videos! keep up the good work!

The way you explain things is so perfect for people just starting out with theory. Calling a pentatonic scale the "skeleton" of a major scale... you really have a mind for explaining concepts, and as someone who works in developing training programs across different industries, anytime you're looking for a career in education, it's waiting for you :).
  • Hands down the best guitar lessons I have EVER tried. I understand the scale and fretboard systems for the first time in my life. Thank you!!!!!!
