I’ve always understood that Deadpool’s power is just essentially super cancer which is a wild sentence.

I don't want to be anal but it's still very much a healing factor, it just didn't cure his cancer. Like one of the key parts of his power set is that he does regenerate, the cells just aren't "healthy", like essentially every cell in his body is cancerous, but because the healing factor also constantly replaces these cells, they never actually turn into tumors that are deadly. That would explain why the kryll turned into cancerous blobs when they tried to copy his ability, and why all his clones lived very short lives, and why all the people that received organs that were harvested from him without concent died. seriously, in one of comics a company were repeatedly drugging wade as he walked down the street and basically hollowing him out for his organs and selling them on the black market.
