Remind me of when I did this, was playing on the virtual console. I try it for a while then I got it, but then I realized the B button was broken, and I couldn't jump. Had to buy another gamepad. it was the worst

The castle roof BLJ is most effective when using the middle slope in front of the castle (above the princess window). If you angle to either the left or the right, you will fly off the castle even faster. Also, it would've been cool to see the SBLJ in basement, but I understand if it's a bit too difficult to complete.

i don't know is this counts as a blj but when i tried long jumping backwards on the trapdoor to bowser in the dark world i couldn't go past the barrier but i did manage to bypass mario falling in the trapdoor for a bit i accomplish this on my second try of doing this
