33 PRO Geometry Dash Editor Tips!

2024-05-26に共有
How many hidden Geometry Dash features do you know? I'll show you 33 of the secret GD build hacks I know and use, which should help you a fair bit. Even if you don't use these, they're still more helpful than that Waboo video - for one, I actually create lol.

I really like this video. Genuinely some tips that even I didn't know like position switching in the editor with the number keys. This has a lot more realistic advice on how to actually get good at creating. This is the kind of content we need more of in this community.

When I see a GDCS video I start questiong why this channel isn't verified, is so useful, and in this case, reveals things that people forgot that existed (like copying and pasting through levels, I think this is a 2.2 feature but I can be wrong) 3:27 Also, the reverse trigger is useful sometimes, since sometimes flipping an arrow trigger to make the same effect, it just don't do anything, instead, do that, BUT check "Change Channel" and then "Channel only", you put an unused channel and put a reverse trigger / orb / pad in that channel and you're ready. You should check the Press Start editor to see what I mean with this.

9:20 I didn't expect the wedding cake example to be added in this vid omg! Thank you so much ❤
  • tip: be careful with build helper. Ecspecially with more complex logic, build helper doesn't properly work sometimes, do NOT build helper something many parent ids unless you know how to assign them back (i once had a case where someone in a megacollab broke my part by using build helper on my stuff). All types of ids count as one id, so make sure to use the same id on stuff like block ids, timer ids, effect ids etc. to save on groups. In some rare cases, like in the sequence trigger, build helper doesnt work at all. Its best to use remapping and use build helper on the remap. a lot safer and easier to use. tip 11 is a bit outdated but still valid. I would do this either through "direction mode" in the move trigger or use advanced follow + regular follow (spike advfollows point, point regularily folllws spike), depending on the case.

  • 1:16 I'd like to clarify what those checkboxes do exactly Short speaking, they switch from multiplication to addition Long speaking, when you adjust the saturation of an object with the corresponding slider, the saturation value will be multiplied by whatever number there will be inputted. Enabling the checkbox will now be adding or subtracting from the saturation value, which is why it can turn pitch black into white, and white - into red. If the color saturation is set to zero, setting the HSV value to 2.00 will increase it to 100% regardless
