I'm happy for you young brother. Looking forward to any content you're able to put out.

Good stuff man! 10 years in a career (that progresses) will outstrip earnings on gig work and get you to that 7 figures way quicker. I have a few friends working at a casino in Brisbane, all started at the entry, and over a decade all worked up into management and specialist roles there. They love it. As you said, you can always do some gig work on the side (that's what I do, full time career W2, gig work on the side). Good luck and congrats on the new job!

Hey UU, I listen to you more than I comment but I feel you are doing the right thing. I was raised that W-2 Work should always be the main source of income and Gig Work is more of a 2nd job/side hustle. One side of my family is more concentional and the other side is less conventional but that less co conventional side is facing alot of the realities that you are facing too. Its good to be both financially-oriented and career-oriented at the same time (in my experience), a balance of the two is key. Im currently going through a job transition of my own, simply b/c I feel I've been there too long without enough opportunities and benefits to make it worth it anymore; so I'm attempting to transition to a different field altogether. So I do understand. I'll be on the lookout for your next update 💯

It would be cool to create one video that chronicles the 8-12 week journey through training. What you are learning and feeling each week, and then mush it all into one 10 minute video. It should be an interesting career. As for wealth accumulation, it takes time for most of us. I didn’t get to debt free status or 1M net worth until my 50s. I had crap jobs until I was 37. I can say this, the journey should be good and bad. Many times I went into leadership and always hated it. But there was always more money and opportunity. Consider trying leadership in the new casino after a while. I haven’t had much content lately, but all is good here in Alabama. Still getting near 2k a month, mostly from Shipt. (Feel like I could work at Target if they would approach me) I’m excited for you, and glad you included that clip of your early video which is how I found you. You will be awesome. 😎

Awesome that you’re ripping off the bandaid. Can’t bring myself to do that quite yet. Sounds like you’ll be on the clock by the time I’m back down there this September. You’ll have to deal me a hand!
  • Yeah.. still awesome part time w/ other businesses. Profits are way down and lots of gig workers desperate for cash.
  • @kileNoe
Inspring. Im working on getting my life to place where im doing seasonal work and traveling. It might be another year or so until then.
  • I think your making a smart choice in getting away from so much Gig app work it's not the way it used to be hell even tho weekends I find are slow
  • Still " proud " of you Ry lol 😉.. Dealers make great money!! Good luck in ALL you do.

You've been super successful as a gig worker! I've done it for six years and whenever I'd get good savings, I'd lose it to am accident or a scam or bad investment. Smart to get a W2. Gig work full time isn't the way
  • @ginam6691
Sounds like a good plan. We have a new casino too coming next city over, they opened a temporary casino while the main casino is being built. I mainly do dd but since they only want to offer high mileage low pay, I start working a w2 tomorrow. Ill still do my gig apps but at least I wont be pressured to accept crap offers. Plus Ill be buying abandoned storage units and reselling, its all a process.
  • Move to short term rentals you’ll make a lot more and accelerate your journey to a mil. Read the BRRR method.

Been doing food delivery for almost 10 years, started with Postmates back in 2015. Full time the past 5 years. Its the worst I have ever seen.. Time to retire for good...
  • @TheDrivenDad
You are gonna be an official cream dealer! 😅😂
  • @SteveAaroe
You are young. Great move. Its time to change up.

2 months unpaid training to learn to deal cards is wild .... should only take 1 week max.
