Hello Luvz!
Why spend $500-$600 on some Jimmy Choo's... when you can re-create this look!
All you need is a Heel, Modpodge, Glitter and a brush!
Have fun turning an OLD pair of shoes into super GLAM or purchase a cheap pair (mine were $15) and turn it into super FAB! :))
Enjoy!

  • Thank you for sharing this. Just finished the 2nd coat of my daughters prom shoes and while it wasn't as easy as it looked it turned out even more amazing than we had hoped. Now she has the perfect shoes to go with her dress and for a reasonable cost.

I've tried out this idea for my wedding shoes! Waiting for my first layer to dry.I hope it works out. Thank you so much for the tutorial!
  • love love love these....i wonder how well this would work on some flats and converse style shoes...oh the ideas
  • I just glittered my heels following your advice, it turned out fab. Thanks. Btw I used Feviciol glue instead of mod podge and it's a great substitute for anyone wondering.

They look so nice. I didn't even think about adding different colours together, great idea.
  • Why didn't I think of this?! I always wanted glitter shoes! Yours came out lovely!
  • just remember ladies when you use modge podge on a shoe you must take sandpaper to your shoe for the Mod Podge to adhere to make the glitter stick to just going to be putting layer upon layer upon layer

I've seen other videos on how to do this and yours was the best. I'm definitely going to try this. Its hard for me to find my size and when I do, for the price, they want an arm and a leg. It's a lot cheaper to make my own. Thanks so much for the tutorial.
  • Those heels from basic to BANGIN! WOOOOO!!! Nice!!
  • If you don't like glitter, you like glitter now :D Great DIY!
  • This is the best tutorial pretty much ever! My wedding is in just over 2 months and I have these really cute shoes but they're black and I didn't really want that colour so I used a fabric spray (they're a suede material) to lighten it to an off white/silverish grey, and was planning to then dye them purple, however I'm not perfect so it's splotchy and I'm a little worried that even the dark purple colour won't cover that. As a girl who loves glitter (I was planning to deck them out with my left over Swarovski crystals but ain't nobody got time for that) this is the perfect solution!!
  • i personally havent tried Elmers glue. I use Modpodge for almost all my DIY's. With Modpodge I havent had a problem with the glitter coming off. To prevent glitter fall out i wait for the entire shoe to dry and then i put one more layer of modpodge on the top. Works pretty well. Havent had a problem with it :) Good luck.
  • This tutorial was SO helpful!! Thank you for posting; I CAN'T WAIT to try this!!
  • Love glitter,  glam & shoes, easy DIY!  For that special occassion, or big day!
  • Thank you for posting the tutorial. I just customized the swoosh on my Nike's ...Stoked!!!
  • Use sandpaper to make the surface of the shoe "rough". This allow the glue (mod podge) to adhere to the shoe because it has something to "hold on to". Use the sandpaper first before you do anything else. Just a light touch, like washing your hands, do not scrub the shoe!

LOVE! I'm about to do this to my brides shoes :) Thanks for the idea and the great video.
