Dear everyone who was born after 1985. I'm sorry you were either too young or didn't exist at all to truly enjoy the 1980s, because it was amazing. The 90s was a damn good sequel, but the 80s were magic. Maybe the mid-20s to early 30s hold some of that similar magic. Sincerely, A random guy on the internet who enjoyed the hell out of the 80s and 90s.

Song that I think defined the 80s. One of the best songs of the era

I want the 80s back, right now! If I could go back for one day I will be a happy lady!
  • I can relate to this song so much, I was at a friend of mines party almost 3 years ago and I saw this girl across the room and we made eye contact and I swear it was love at first sight and I walked over to her and we started talking and we instantly hit it off, on our second date I quoted the title of this song and she started crying and I asked her what was the matter and she told me that I was the first guy that had ever said that to her, so now almost 3 years later I am very happy to say that the beautiful girl I met is now my wife and we have a beautiful 8 month old daughter, love you baby
  • I love driving at night with this song blasting through my speakers.

As Gen X we were blessed with some of the most talented bands. A time where you had to be masters of instruments and vocals. This song will always be an anthem to those classes of the early to mid 80's

For those of us old enough to have been alive when this song came out, we are in the rare position of being alive both before and after some life-on-earth-altering technology. Like being born in 1890, and going from horses, oil lamps or candles, and outhouses, which had all been the standard for centuries, to cars, planes, light at the flick of a switch, indoor plumbing... to the frickin moon, just in your lifetime - Those of us born prior to the 90's were alive in the time before you could contact anyone anywhere, where you answered without even knowing who it was gonna be, and before the answer to every question, basically all of human knowledge, was just in our pockets. Before the Information Superhighway, as they called it, changed Everything. Personally I'm glad I know of a time before technology took everything over.

Great song and perhaps one of the best drum sets in a pop song you will ever hear...hands down.
  • I was leaving for college on a flight to Texas, my mom pushed through security and got on the plane to play this for me on her boom box (circa 1991) while I was waiting to depart.. I was mortified then, but will always remember her doing it...she passed in 1995. This song still makes me laugh & cry at the same time...
  • This is my song to my sister who I lost 11 years ago aged 47 she was beautiful inside and out we always danced together
  • I always think about 'The Breakfast Club' when I hear this. Classic 80's movie!!

I pulled this song up on YouTube and I was transported thru time to when I first heard this. The 80s still ROCK!!!

The golden music from the 80s this song is straight fire🔥✨
  • This song and the Breakfast Club brings back some beautiful memories. Wish we could go back to a simpler time.
